![Their sense of superiority is not only a result of their education, their daily privileges, and the fact that they belong to arestricted gated community. To this social Darwinism — the same thathistorically gave rise to eugenics — the same that historically gave rise to eugenics — something new is now being added: the possibility of achieving, if not immortality, then the extension of life. In the realm of realistic transhumanism, this upper class spends millions of dollars on anti-ageing biotechnology and regenerative medicine with the costly aspiration of living to 120 years. This new breed of aristocrats is therefore imbued with the fear of accidents that could diminish their biological capital, and at the same time possesses the power to construct a panoptic society tailored to their paranoia. For these gated dreams, the hooded spectre that appeared on - the Avenue of the Americas in Manhattan on 4 December is a human nightmare, all too human. Observing how much a single gesture has polarised the passions of an entire society provides ample food for thought. While the assessment of facts may be somewhat banal, the assessment of values is anything but wivial. In this context, we have encountered numerous cautionary statements, distinctions, and clarifications (not even solicited) indicating that neither advocacy nor incitement is desirable. Additionally, there are the _inevitable diatribes against ‘individualism’ and ‘terrorism’, or ’competing’ interpretations of the ideology of inevitability: one CEO dies, and another takes their place. For us, the exact opposite is true. Violent action, when undertaken with good discernment, must always be defended. It matters litle whether it is individual or collective. If, as in this case, it is even clear, the defence itself becomes an instrument of revolutionary propaganda. It is true that Thompson will be succeeded by another CEO. However, one can reiterate today what the anarchist Galleani remarked about Umberto I (the comparison does not seem excessive, as Thompson’s power is by no means inferior): the murdered king teaches his successor, if nothing else, then ‘moderation. This is beneficial for all those who are exploited. And that appears to be the case. The standards of ‘“deny", “defend", "depose" have, as if by magic, become less arrogant, slightly improving the health of individuals and the class. ~Page3~ Could collective action also succeed? On the evenings when the little bulb would shake its head and say, “Time’s up.” We read the history of the world in small names, in dates carved with a fingernail on the walls of prisons, in childish drawings of the condemned — a heart, a bow, a ship that surely cut through time. In some verses left unfinished for us to complete, in others that were finished so that we would not finish. It has been a long road to this point - a hard road. Now this road is yours. Ritsos On 31/10, an explosive device detonated in an apartment on Arkadias Street in Ambelokipi, resulting in the death of anarchist comrade KYRIAKOS XYMITIRIS and the injury of anarchist comrade Marianna M. In the following days, a media spectacle ensued, typical of Greek standards, paving the way for what would follow from the anti-terrorist authorities and the state in general. ‘The state, in conjunction with the police, the media, and justice, presented well-rehearsed narratives regarding the resurgence of domestic terrorism, embellishing these to prevent the viewing public from becoming bored, labelling it as “third-generation terrorism". All this has already led to the pre-trial detention of five comrades. ‘We, for our part, do not accept the term ’terrorism’ in relation to urban guerrilla warfare and general political counter-violence. For us, terrorism is living below the poverty line, unaffordable rents, exorbitant bills, gentrification and redevelopment, police brutality, non- functioning trains, and guns discharging into the air. Secondly, urban guerrilla warfare is not divided into generations. Organised political resistance has existed throughout history for hundreds of years, flourishing or declining according to the prevailing social conditions. The violent struggle will continue until the collapse of capitalism and authority. ‘The state views this repressive operation as an opportunity to launch an all-out attack on the anarchist movement and all those who fight, aiming to eliminate its internal enemy once and for all. The events in Ambelokipi should raise awareness among all revolutionary subjects, spark new insurrectionary incidents, and bring radical action back to the forefront. In the appeals court, the charge of damage was dropped, while for the charge of disorderly conduct, the comrade was sentenced to 12 ‘months with a three-year suspended sentence. 6 November, Berlin, Germany: Vandalism and window breaking to the building of the state consultancy firm BwConsulting due to its involvement in the German states investment in military equipment. 7 November, Santiago, Chile: It was reported that a few days prior, hooded students set up barricades and clashed with police outside the National Institute in solidarity with political prisoner Ayekan. 7 November, Mesologgi, Greece: Anarchist comrade K.K. was arrested for the arson of a police vehicle, which had taken place almost a month earlier outside the Mesologgi Police Station. Responsibility for the attack and further details can be found on page 7. 9 November, Hyvinkaa, Finland: Arson of the Otsola centre, which functioned as a meeting and event space for fascists. 10 November, Bremen, Germany: Incendiary attack on two corporate vehicles of the Kaefer Group as part of the "Switch off the system of destruction” campaign. The group was targeted due to its significant involvement in the military industry, as well as environmentally destructive projects such as tar sand extraction, LNG pipeline construction, and nuclear energy. “Fire to Kaefer! Johann’s face, accompanied by the promise of a large reward for anyone providing information leading to his arrest, was displayed on billboards across Germany. 11 November, England, United Kingdom: Anarchist comrade Toby Shone was. released from Garth prison, having served his entire sentence. 12 November, Bristol, England, United Kingdom: Palestine Action blocked the entrance to the headquarters of Elbit Systems and its E&A hub. Elbit Systems is Israel’s largest arms manufacturer. 15 November, Athens, Greece: Anarchist comrade Marianna M. is transferred to Korydallos prison, just one day after undergoing her second consecutive surgery. After the re- occupation, a march was held with a strong presence. The reason for his arrest is a fingerprint found on one of the items discovered in the apartment that exploded in Ampelokipi, leading to the death of comrade Kyriakos and the serious injury of Marianna. Specifically, the fingerprint was found on a bag that contained a weapon. 18 November, Heraklion, Greece: The eviction operation of the Evangelismos squat by the state was thwarted for the second time. 22 November, East Java, Indonesia: Arson attack on university buildings in solidarity with Nikos Romanos and all anarchist prisoners. Responsibility claim on page 11. 22 November, Melbourne, Australia: Sabotage of a truck and blockade of the entrance to the international Webb Dock port with burning barricades. “.It was reported that two ‘Australian’ companies, Toll Holdings and K&S Corporation, are exporting weapons to the USA, where they are used to support the murderous campaign of ‘Israel’ against Palestine. Responsibility claim on page 9. 24 November, Novosibirsk, Russia: Arson of the facilities of the Federal Judicial Authority. solidarity ~ with Palestinian ~Paged~ The fuse is still lit It has been a month and a half since 31 October. Although I was not there with Kyriakos and Marianna, the images of those few seconds haunt me and will probably continue to do so for a long time. However, I believe that the present, as well as the future, must be approached with a certain composure. This is not a matter of pride or image, but because, in the face of power, every submissive attitude we adopt is a gift offered to it. In the face of each of our weaknesses, there is a policeman who laughs. In front of every hesitation, there is an authority that grows stronger. The system feeds on our difficulties. In this regard, I was pleased to hear comrade Lello’s words on the radio, in which he remembered Licia Rognini (who passed away last month) and recalled the powerful example of dignity she embodied throughout her life. Licia lived without her ~husband, Giuseppe Pinelli, an anarchist who fell from the window of the Milan police station on 15 December 1969, exactly 55 years ago. A lie spent without showing any sign of surrender, not even emotionally, which is often what the enemy expects. It awaits a moment of weakness by you [...] We don’t have the right to fully show publicly our despair, because they will exploit . [.. ». At this point, I suppose we should at least consider what we need to think about on both an individual and collective level, given the undoubtedly painful loss of Kyriakos and Marianna’s injury. How many more words of frustration do we wish to express? How much longer do we intend to complain about the fact that the media are doing what they are paid to do, namely demonising and vilifying a comrade who fell during an attack? Do we truly want to discuss the abuses committed by the media, the police, and counter-terrorism against our comrades? What exactly surprises us? Anarchists have been investigated, arrested, tried, tortured, and sentenced to death for over a century, and this is certainly nothing new. There is no injustice; revolutionary ideas — and practices — are in conflict with the State, which is merely doing its job, striving to maintain itself by oppressing and attempting to crush its enemies. End of story. There is no reason to cry that it’s a scandal. This does not mean that the insidious machinations of the media and the repressive apparatus should not be exposed. That is precisely what we have been missing. Acute criticism, apart from being objectively necessary, constitutes a continuous exercise in questioning those who intend to distort reality and shape it to their advantage. And today, this criticism is as important as it was yesterday. Perhaps even more so, given that the voices of comrades are becoming increasingly scarce. However, we must be careful not to fall — and get lost - in self-pity, an impulse that is unfortunately always lurking nearby. Kyriakos did not die as a victim. He is a comrade who took action, and that makes all the difference. The manner of his departure inevitably confronts us with the question of anarchist practice. This is an unavoidable reality, and it is also a matter of respect. He was not killed by a police officer during an arrest. He was not murdered by a fascist while putting up posters, nor did he die in a car accident. Kyriakos died in a violent conflict against this world. It requires courage. The least we can do, with that courage, is to assert with our heads held high the practices he employed, as have other anarchists before him, to challenge authority. We must recognise and reclaim these practices as an integral part of anarchism, calling them by their true names, for what they are. Without unnecessary embellishment. Alas, however, in the whirlwind of this postmodern delirium in which we unfortunately find ourselves these days, we lose track. Collective revolt, individual revolt, revolutionary anarchism, propaganda of the deed, class hatred, social war — none of these seem to merit space anymore. Anarchism appears to have given way to activism, to micro-practicism: to black-and-red, black-and-green, black-and-pink, to specialties of all kinds; to various subcultures. These ~ dimensions ~ have made hyper-sentimentality their raison détre and share a serious theoretical confusion. Clearly, all of this is very easy and very convenient. Reconciliatory perspectives abound, bringing everyone into agreement and making anarchism more palatable, thus weakening it and rendering it into something abstract. Sometimes, however, events restore the reasons for the anarchist struggle to the forefront, making it inevitable that we confrontharsh material ~reality. For anarchism is social and class war. It is revenge, blood, lead, and dynamite. It represents an intervention in social struggles that goes hand in hand with individual armed action, without the two aspects being mutually exclusive. Today, as yesterday, there are those who believe that the armed cause is not merely a dusty old tool consigned to the history books; it remains applicable and feasible. Beyond the counter-revolutionary nonsense of post-anarchism that has come to us from the starry sea, many of us also grew up in a historical period devoted to social peace, compromise, and disillusionment with any revolutionary project. In this context, merely mentioning terms like "rulers,” “exploited,” and "revolution” causes many useful idiots who support the capitalist world to smile, often without realising it. They are pawns of a system that chewed them up in the seventies and eighties and spat them out in the nineties, only to tell us about times that are no longer as they once were — times when revolution is seen as an archaic term consigned to an inglorious, defeated past. The notion that armed struggle was merely an illusion held by a handful of misguided and glorified individuals is perpetuated, as if it were a privilege of political realities that no longer exist. Thus, we are expected to grow up reading the history written, as always, by the victors. The story that recounts periods of lead, dark years, nighs of the Republic. The good that ultimately triumphed over evil. The rhetoric surrounding the defeat of terrorists and the return to social peace in the best of all possible worlds. The only path forward in the name of democracy. A series of absurdities that could not help but influence a significant portion of the so-called new generations. However, historiography is one thing, and reality is another. And if you examine this reality closely, it becomes evident that there has always been something that has been, and continues to be, distanced from these paternalistic discourses. Strikes, informal cells of fire, federations, revolutionary struggles, new subversions. There are no glorious years; revolutionary outbursts are a fire that is conspiracies, always bumning, and the flames it unleashes depend not so much on the more or less favourable historical context, but on the strength and determination of individuals who cast aside doubts and hesitations, "fears and self-justifications," take a large dose of risk, and strike at power. ‘The last time I met Kyriakos, in an alley in Exarchia, I remember we talked for a long time. About the world in times of war and the challenges we face. About the quality of the struggle. How certain beliefs had changed, evolved, and matured over time. About the inherent limitations of certain single-issue struggles. About a precise way of understanding Freedom in its fullest essence. About a level of conflict that is far t00 low. About how necessary it is to raise this level. That is why Kyriakos lost his life. T believe that the greatest act of solidarity with those who are no longer here, and with the comrades who were investigated and imprisoned for this case, is to cary forward the ideas and struggles that these brothers and sisters brought to the forefront. In theoretical- practical combination that s increasingly necessary. Even urgent. We live in technocracies based on abuse, slaughter, expropriation, and war. The wretches who run this deadly system are safe, with full bellies and swollen bank accounts. From the top of their small or large chains of command, they manage many slaves who consciously or unconsciously contribute to their wealth and success. And they no longer fear the wrath of the oppressed, the knives of the exploited, or the bombs of the anarchists, because after years and years of class violence, the authorities have learned the hard way how to keep spirits calm. They have learned that you should not pull too hard on the rope and take the bread from the tables, or else the people will pick up the rakes. They have understood that it is useful to provide and manufacture defeats, even if they are artificial. The rubbish is always the same, never changing, but it is sweetened by the illusion of demaocracy and participation. Reassuring fagades of modem and progressive governments, democratic cops and judges, benevolent bosses. But shit is still shit; they have just learned to hide it under the right carpets, in prisons where no one sees and no one cares, in police cells, in migrant concentration camps, and in countries where no one gives a damn, in tomato fields and cemeteries at the bottom of the sea, in the deadly, daily, and systematic exploitation of the workplace. Realities hidden by mass domestication, achieved through crumbs and artificial needs, passed off as prosperity. Coercion is the primary tool used by those who decide to rule. Therefore, we are speaking of a world built on this fundamental aesthetic hoice. This choice of the ruling class calls upon its subjects to enact it. The rectorate of the [National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) is yet another cog in the machine, one of threads in the institutional fabric of the state, whose role, on an ideological level, is to kterilise, to increase productivity, to create an "excellent” specialised worker who does not aise their head except when it concerns better career opportunities. In short, the ideological role of the university in the neoliberal bourgeois state is to present the "governance of ’ science" as the only way societies can organise themselves. The means by which the L university carries out this role is through the monopoly on knowledge, or rather the ultivation of the illusion that it truly monopolises knowledge. This shift is qualitative, not just quantitative: the workforce must be obedient and underpaid, with the very real risk of ending up in dilapidated, militarised prisons and places of death. The prospect of change, even if not radical, must be forgotten. Pacification must reign supreme. And in Italy, to guarantee control over class struggle, power is increasingly centralised in the govermnment, specifically the executive. This is true in Cospito’s case, as it seems to be in the case of the outsourcing of prisons to Albania, and as confirmed by the Bill. It is a clear declaration of war against the “outcasts,” the excluded, whether voluntary or not. Anarchism in the Indonesia of 2024: An overview Anarchism is flourishing within the turbulent socio-political landscape of Indonesia, despite increased anti-anarchist repression and media smear campaigns. Almost thirty years after the fall of Suharto’s authoritarian regime, which marked the beginning of the Reformasi — the current transitional period of the Indonesian state — the futility of reformism has become ever more apparent, and the need for radical approaches is becoming increasingly urgent. In this context, alongside the fact that the left has never really managed to regain its footing in the country after the anti-communist purges of 196566, it is clear why Indonesia has such a strong anarchist presence compared to other Asian countries. The uprisings that erupted across the archipelago in August 2024, sparked by President Jokowi’s (Joko Widodo) attempts to amend the electoral law in order to secure his political legacy, are the latest evidence of the anger and frustration bred in this part of the world by corruption, nepotism, poverty, unemployment, evictions, grabbing of customary land, and environmental destruction. Of course, among all of this, the violence, abuses, and mafia-like actions of the police are also part of the picture. Now, with Jokowi’s succession by war criminal Prabowo Subianto, many fear that the Indonesian state will take a more authoritarian and militaristic turn, as indicated by recent moves in occupied West Papua, where thousands of indigenous people have been forced to flee their villages by the Indonesian military". ![an 1,800-page dossier, culminated in a wave of arrests on December 8, 2020, followed by the repercussions we have been dealing with for the past four years, which we will briefly outline here. Following the arrests, 14 locations were raided. After 96 hours in DGSI custody, under psychological pressure, drug-induced interrogations, and the use of falsified or out-of-context evidence, seven individuals were charged. They were then brought before the investigating judge, and five of them were placed in pre-trial detention. The case also affected many others. In total, 12 people spent four days in DGSI custody, with additional arrests occurring in February and September 2021. A total of 29 summonses were issued, often as a threat to obtain prison visit permits. Furthermore, numerous personal and electronic items seized during the raids have not yet been returned. To date, the accused have collectively spent 47 months in prison, endured solitary confinement, strip searches, endless interrogations, denial of medical care, and difficulties accessing packages, canteen, and comrespondence during the investigation. Releases have been gradual, with the PNAT appealing one release and another individual managing to secure release after a 36-day hunger strike, transitioning from solitary confinement to six months under house arrest with an electronic bracelet. In total, they have endured 277 months under judicial control, which includes regular check-ins, geographical movement restrictions, residency requirements, work obligations, and meetings with a support "duo” (educator and psychologist) as well as the Probation and Reintegration Service (SPIP). ‘The financial toll amounts to nearly €150,000, covering legal fees, prison packages (clothing, magazines, books), canteen funds, and travel expenses for supporters. This excludes the incalculable physical and psychological scars, the contempt, threats, pressures, and the lasting impact on relationships and ongoing surveillance. The wrial spanned 16 afternoons, approximately one month, with the verdict delivered two months later and the judge’s reasoning provided nine months after that. All were found guilty of “terrorist criminal association," and three were additionally convicted of "refusing to provide decryption keys." In the first instance, they were sentenced to prison terms ranging from two to five years, with 15 to 30 months suspended on probation, which entails strict medical and social controls: SPIP meetings, addiction and psychological follow- ups, residency and work obligations, with the threat of the suspended sentence being enforced for any breaches. To the International ~Page 19~ For six of them, this includes registration in the FLIAIT (File of Terrorist Offenders), which involves restrictions on foreign travel, regular check-ins, proof of residence every three months, and a ban on working in certain sectors (healthcare, public service, education). Communication remains prohibited, except for two of them. Of the seven convicted, six have decided to appeal the verdict, with the hearing scheduled for November 2025. Beyond contesting the verdict for the six accused, it is crucial to prevent this decision from setting a precedent that would allow the state to further repress our struggles and ways of life more harshly. ‘The anti-terrorist tool, with its so-called exceptional legislation (which is becoming less and less exceptional), remains extremely useful for the state. As with other cases, the investigative methods employed here have provided a snapshot of relationships within militant, ~anarchist, and anti- authoritarian groups. Regardless of the actual or imagined culpability, the justice system’s goal is to maintain fear and occupy people with legal defence work. This enables the state to observe how groups operate and refine its tools for maintaining order, all supported by limitless surveillance capabilities. This movement is in conflict with its natural enemies — the State, fascist groups, and so on — and must protect itself if it s to survive in this conflict. In this text, we make three proposals for the international anarchist movement to consider in the coming years in order to allow anarchists to continue attacking while limiting their chances of getting caught. 1. Share knowledge internationally Our enemies organize internationally through cooperation between police and intelligence agencies and new developments in science and technology — the increasing precision of DNA forensics and the proliferation of drones being just two examples. ‘This means that a repressive technique used in one country may soon appear in another where it is not yet being used. It also means that an effective countermeasure used by anarchists in one country may be effective in another. We should therefore share knowledge of repressive techniques and countermeasures on an international level. Ideally, any experience of repression or experimentation with countermeasures that might be of interest to other anarchists should be written up, translated into several languages, and made public. When anarchists are arrested and brought to trial, we can often obtain court documents that reveal how they were caught: we should exploit this and publish analyses of such documents, bearing in mind that information obtained in this way may be partial or distorted. We should experiment with new countermeasures and write and publish reports on these experiments (except in cases where the State might adapt and weaken the countermeasure by reading the report). We should ury to collect information at the source: read police training manuals, steal police files, analyze data leaks from police servers. A specific feature of the international anarchist movement is its decentralization. We see this not as a weakness but as a streng( in addition to preventing the hierarchies inherent in centralized organizations, it makes it harder for our enemies to target us because they cannot topple the whole movement by disrupting one part of it. However, this decentralization also makes it harder for us to share knowledge across borders. To overcome this, we see two options: developing informal bonds with other anarchists by meeting at interational book fairs and other events, and using the Internet. We propose using the No Trace Project as an international platform to share the knowledge that is suited for sharing on the Internet, not as a replacement for informal bonds but as a useful supplement to spread information beyond existing informal networks. 2. When we conceived the idea for this
newspaper a year ago, we could not have
imagined that it would eventually take on
such international dimensions so that, with
the help of comrades from different parts
of the earth, it would cross continents. The
first issue was published only in Greek,
but the second was also published in
English and Spanish, and an effort is now
being made to translate it into French as
well. This issue is being published in even
more languages and we hope that the
translation efforts will multiply in future
issues.

Anarchy of action has always been a small
but lively flame burning contemptuously
in the vast gloom of apathy and
compromise; let us make its blessed light
reach the ends of the earth and kindle it
with our destructive passion for freedom.
Every attack born of this passion is a
reminder that the resistance to the world of
power is not alive only in certain historical
moments with the approval of the masses,
but is an everyday affair; that there will
always be those who struggle to get out of
the mire of oppression; every attack is a
statement that there are black sheep who
refuse the mutilated life offered to them by
this rotien society.
Every unrepentant word that comes out of
the mouths of imprisoned comrades. is
proof that repression does not break the

Regardless of whether nowadays the
intensity of the anarchist offensive has

centuries, because this very intensity has
always made circles, and it is in our hands

On the assassination of Brian
Thompson
The only form of political power is
violence. The political basis of that society
is irrelevant, be it democratic or autocratic,
a vote in a democratic society is nothing
more than an acceptance of that society’s
terms and the only message sent is the
consent to be governed. The only way an
individual could truly express its wishes to
society is through violence, s the only
language an institution can understand,
being that it itself rests on nothing other
than violence. No oppressive legislation
has been overturned by the polite request
of the people, but rather the fear of the
people’s wrath. Take the recent
assassination of United Healthcare’s CEO
as a perfect example. The American two
party system is nothing other than a two
headed snake designed to uphold the status
quo while quarreling with itself enough to
give the people the illusion that they could
impact its trajectory. Neither party has any
intention of deprivatizing healthcare,
issues like this that threaten to uproot
USA’s capitalist basis are not presented as
options for the people to change, they are
intentionally presented as unquestionable
fact while the parties jingle
inconsequential populist issues in the
voter’s faces. The only way one can voice
their opinions on these monopolies
without being laughed out the door is
through actions like we have seen
demonstrated today. Public opinion may
mean nothing to the oligarchs but the fear
of murder will get any man’s attention.
This is the reality of class conflict, a
reality which speaks only the language of
violence. The egoist sets his sights not on
glittering institutions, he knows there will
always be those who violently force their
standards on others in the name of law, for
the egoist no society will do because, by
nature, no society would serve a lowly
individual’s cause over its own great
cause. Therefore the only society that will
do for the egoist is one that fears its
people. The 40 hour work week was not
granted by the powers that be out of
kindness, it was taken by force. Your own
freedom is no different, the state views
you as its own, it will take everything it
can get from you and dictate what you can
do with what it grants you. If you want
your life to be your own you cannot be
reliant on big brother, you must take it for
yourself, and if a state insists its
ownership over you, you must instead
assert your ownership over it by
communicating that you are your own; and
dictate the ways it will conduct itself
through the only language it understands.

Valid in Monza, valid in Manhattan
A murder could hardly have provoked
more widespread social acceptance than
that awributed to Luigi Mangione.
Analyzing the spectacular phenomenon of
cheering underway in the United States
(tens of thousands of messages of support,
Teshirts, hats, pins, songs with the words
‘deny, defend, depose’ and 'Free
Mangione', fundraisers for the defendant's
legal fees, boycotts of the McDonald's
where he was arrested...), a consultant
from the Network Contagion Research
Institute wrote this striking phrase:
“Thompson's murder is welcomed as a
kind of signal to start a wider class war."
To understand this phenomenon, we must
first understand who was murdered.
Last year alone, UnitedHealthcare, of
which” Brian Thompson was CEO,
reported 228 billion in profits generated at
the expense of literally millions of people.
UnitedHealth's largest shareholders are
asset management giant Vanguard, which
holds a 9% stake, followed by BlackRock
(8%) and Fidelity (5.2%). The three
standard formulas — made infamous by
the bullets with which Thompson was
stuck — through which the company
denies insurance coverage for medical
care do not only apply to particularly
expensive surgeries. This ‘deny' is an
automatic response for many people every
day.
Far from the luxurious neighbourhoods, in
those outposts that are neither a province
nor a city, but inland in the middle of the
desert, salespeople, cleaners, workers, and
delivery drivers queue to enter pharmacies
that are indistinguishable from
supermarkets, with armed guards at the
entrance, where everything — even
toothpaste — is locked behind glass. As
soon as the queue is finished, an employee
— who distinctly smells of ammonia,
bringing in mind an endocrine disorder —
announces that the medicine prescribed by
the doctor cannot be dispensed because
there is no prior approval from the
insurance company. Let us also add the
feeling that we are becoming lab rats for
the pharmaceutical industry (and for Big
Tech). Consider, for example, digital
therapies, the marketing of which was
approved by the Food and Drug
Administration in 2017. What drives
people 1o accept software-based
medications_equipped with nanosensors,
through which the ‘telehealth provider’
can ‘monitor’ neuropsychiatric and
metabolic activity, is often the coercion to
avoid a more expensive insurance policy.
In a more mundane sense, civil servants
are compelled to wear a Fitbit (a digital
device that measures the number of steps
taken), otherwise UnitedHealthcare may
decide not to insure those whose lives are
deemed unhealthy based on the data
provided by the Fitbit...
‘The joy of Thompson's death includes all
of these aspects: denial of care, of course,
but also humiliation by armed guards,
locked opportunities, compulsory walks,
and amisery that smells of ammonia.
1f the avenger is a young white man, good-
looking and from a wealthy family, who
graduated from a prestigious university,
credited with ‘an anti-capitalist political
manifesto, harbouring sympathies for Ted
Kaczynski and exhibiting quite polite
manners (1 apologise for any suife or
trauma, but it had to be done), his 'raw
honesty’ (another expression attributed to
Mangione) conveys a sense of redemption
and hope, as it dismantles the most
powerful — if not the only — ideology
remaining: that of inevitability.
Let’s now examine it from the perspective
of capitalists, CEOs, and technocrats.
Their sense of superiority is not only a
result of their education, their daily
privileges, and the fact that they belong to
arestricted gated community.
To this social Darwinism — the same
thathistorically gave rise to eugenics — the
same that historically gave rise to eugenics
— something new is now being added: the
possibility of achieving, if not immortality,
then the extension of life. In the realm of
realistic transhumanism, this upper class
spends millions of dollars on anti-ageing
biotechnology and regenerative medicine
with the costly aspiration of living to 120
years. This new breed of aristocrats is
therefore imbued with the fear of accidents
that could diminish their biological capital,
and at the same time possesses the power
to construct a panoptic society tailored to
their paranoia. For these gated dreams, the
hooded spectre that appeared on - the
Avenue of the Americas in Manhattan on 4
December is a human nightmare, all too
human.
Observing how much a single gesture has
polarised the passions of an entire society
provides ample food for thought. While
the assessment of facts may be somewhat
banal, the assessment of values is anything
but wivial. In this context, we have
encountered numerous cautionary
statements, distinctions, and clarifications
(not even solicited) indicating that neither
advocacy nor incitement is desirable.
Additionally, there are the _inevitable
diatribes against ‘individualism' and
‘terrorism', or 'competing' interpretations
of the ideology of inevitability: one CEO
dies, and another takes their place.
For us, the exact opposite is true. Violent
action, when undertaken with good
discernment, must always be defended. It
matters litle whether it is individual or
collective. If, as in this case, it is even
clear, the defence itself becomes an
instrument of revolutionary propaganda.
It is true that Thompson will be succeeded
by another CEO. However, one can
reiterate today what the anarchist Galleani
remarked about Umberto I (the
comparison does not seem excessive, as
Thompson's power is by no means
inferior): the murdered king teaches his
successor, if nothing else, then
‘moderation. This is beneficial for all those
who are exploited. And that appears to be
the case. The standards of ‘“deny",
“defend", "depose" have, as if by magic,
become less arrogant, slightly improving
the health of individuals and the class.

Could collective action also succeed?
Answering in the abstract, yes. But
specifically, what action exactly?
Meanwhile, some news seems to confirm
Gallean's wisdom. Less than a week after
the murder of Brian Thompson and on the
eve of Luigi Mangione's arrest, another
health insurance company, Anthem Blue
Cross Blue Shield, backed down from an
inhumane decision it had announced:
reducing healthcare ~coverage for the
duration of anaesthesia. The company has
long been at the centre of many protests.
While we cant know exactly what
prompted it to change its mind, we're sure
that in those days the bullets that struck
Thompson also reverberated in the minds
of Anthem executives.
As we hope with all our hearts that the
three shootings in central Manhattan are
indeed a "kind of signal for the beginning
of a wider class war," we can say of
Mangione what we always say about our
comrades in prison: "If he is innocent, he
deserves our solidarity. If he is guilty, he
deserves it even more.” Indeed, for once,
we willingly abandon our principles.
Deny, defend, depose.

honour of comrade Kyriakos Ximitiris
It has been a long road to this point. Very long, my brother. The handeuffs weighed heavily on our hands. On the evenings
when the little bulb would shake its head and say, “Time's up.” We read the history of the world in small names, in dates
carved with a fingernail on the walls of prisons, in childish drawings of the condemned — a heart, a bow, a ship that surely
cut through time. In some verses left unfinished for us to complete, in others that were finished so that we would not finish.
It has been a long road to this point - a hard road. Now this road is yours. You hold it as you would hold your friend's
hand, measuring the pulse in this mark left by the handcuffs. Regular pulse ~ Steady hand - Certain path.

On 31/10, an explosive device detonated in an apartment on Arkadias Street in Ambelokipi, resulting in the death of anarchist
comrade KYRIAKOS XYMITIRIS and the injury of anarchist comrade Marianna M. In the following days, a media spectacle
ensued, typical of Greek standards, paving the way for what would follow from the anti-terrorist authorities and the state in general.
‘The state, in conjunction with the police, the media, and justice, presented well-rehearsed narratives regarding the resurgence of
domestic terrorism, embellishing these to prevent the viewing public from becoming bored, labelling it as “third-generation
terrorism". All this has already led to the pre-trial detention of five comrades.
‘We, for our part, do not accept the term 'terrorism' in relation to urban guerrilla warfare and general political counter-violence. For us,
terrorism is living below the poverty line, unaffordable rents, exorbitant bills, gentrification and redevelopment, police brutality, non-
functioning trains, and guns discharging into the air.
Secondly, urban guerrilla warfare is not divided into generations. Organised political resistance has existed throughout history for
hundreds of years, flourishing or declining according to the prevailing social conditions. The violent struggle will continue until the
collapse of capitalism and authority.
‘The state views this repressive operation as an opportunity to launch an all-out attack on the anarchist movement and all those who
fight, aiming to eliminate its internal enemy once and for all. The events in Ambelokipi should raise awareness among all
revolutionary subjects, spark new insurrectionary incidents, and bring radical action back to the forefront. The death of our comrade
inspires us and compels us to grit our teeth, transform the pain of loss into fury, and attack the state and its lackeys by all means
possible.

National Institute in solidarity with political

7 November, Mesologgi, Greece: Anarchist
comrade K.K. was arrested for the arson of a
police vehicle, which had taken place almost a
month earlier outside the Mesologgi Police
Station. From a statement by supporters:

on the administration building of the National
Technical University of Athens, opposing the
evacuation operations of squats and the

9 November, Hyvinkaa, Finland: Arson of the
Otsola centre, which functioned as a meeting
and event space for fascists.
10 November, Bremen, Germany: Incendiary
attack on two corporate vehicles of the Kaefer
Group as part of the "Switch off the system of
destruction” campaign. The group was targeted
due to its significant involvement in the military
industry, as well as environmentally destructive
projects such as tar sand extraction, LNG
pipeline construction, and nuclear energy.

Germany: Attack with stones on the premises
of advertising company Stréer due to its
involvement in the manhunt for comrade
Johann, who is being persecuted for his militant
anti-fascist actions. Johann's face, accompanied
by the promise of a large reward for anyone
providing information leading to his arrest, was
displayed on billboards across Germany.
11 November, England, United Kingdom:
Anarchist comrade Toby Shone was. released
from Garth prison, having served his entire
sentence.
12 November, Bristol, England, United
Kingdom: Palestine Action blocked the
entrance to the headquarters of Elbit Systems
and its E&A hub. Elbit Systems is Israel’s largest
arms manufacturer.
15 November, Athens, Greece: Anarchist
comrade Marianna M. is transferred to
Korydallos prison, just one day after undergoing
her second consecutive surgery.

16 November, Hamburg, Germany: Militantly
charged demonstration in the St Pauli district on
the occasion of the global day of action in
memory of anarchist comrade Kyriakos X. and
against the ongoing militarisation, genocides,
and the 69th anniversary celebrations of the
German Federal Army.
During the demonstration, leaflets were
distributed against militarisation and the army,
in support of the memory of comrade Kyriakos
X. and in solidarity with the detainees in the
Ampelokipi case. Slogans were sprayed,
firecrackers thrown, barricades erected, and an
SPD party office was attacked.

Anarchists attacked riot police (MAT) with
Molotov cocktails during a demonstration
marking the 51st anniversary of the ‘73 uprising.

that contained a weapon.

operation of the Evangelismos squat by the state
was thwarted for the second time.
22 November, East Java, Indonesia: Arson
attack on university buildings in solidarity with
Nikos Romanos and all anarchist prisoners.

The fuse is still lit
It has been a month and a half since 31
October. Although I was not there with
Kyriakos and Marianna, the images of
those few seconds haunt me and will
probably continue to do so for a long
time. However, I believe that the present,
as well as the future, must be approached
with a certain composure. This is not a
matter of pride or image, but because, in
the face of power, every submissive
attitude we adopt is a gift offered to it. In
the face of each of our weaknesses, there
is a policeman who laughs. In front of
every hesitation, there is an authority that
grows stronger. The system feeds on our
difficulties. In this regard, I was pleased
to hear comrade Lello's words on the
radio, in which he remembered Licia
Rognini (who passed away last month)
and recalled the powerful example of
dignity she embodied throughout her life.
Licia lived without her ~husband,
Giuseppe Pinelli, an anarchist who fell
from the window of the Milan police
station on 15 December 1969, exactly 55
years ago. A lie spent without showing
any sign of surrender, not even
emotionally, which is often what the
enemy expects. It awaits a moment of
weakness by you [...] We don’t have the
right to fully show publicly our despair,
because they will exploit . [.. ».
At this point, I suppose we should at
least consider what we need to think
about on both an individual and
collective level, given the undoubtedly
painful loss of Kyriakos and Marianna's
injury. How many more words of
frustration do we wish to express? How
much longer do we intend to complain
about the fact that the media are doing
what they are paid to do, namely
demonising and vilifying a comrade who
fell during an attack? Do we truly want
to discuss the abuses committed by the
media, the police, and counter-terrorism
against our comrades? What exactly
surprises us? Anarchists have been
investigated, arrested, tried, tortured, and
sentenced to death for over a century, and
this is certainly nothing new. There is no
injustice; revolutionary ideas — and
practices — are in conflict with the State,
which is merely doing its job, striving to
maintain itself by oppressing and
attempting to crush its enemies. End of
story. There is no reason to cry that it's a
scandal. This does not mean that the
insidious machinations of the media and
the repressive apparatus should not be
exposed. That is precisely what we have
been missing. Acute criticism, apart from
being objectively necessary, constitutes a
continuous exercise in questioning those
who intend to distort reality and shape it
to their advantage. And today, this
criticism is as important as it was
yesterday. Perhaps even more so, given
that the voices of comrades are becoming
increasingly scarce. However, we must
be careful not to fall — and get lost - in
self-pity, an impulse that is unfortunately
always lurking nearby.
Kyriakos did not die as a victim. He is a
comrade who took action, and that makes
all the difference. The manner of his
departure inevitably confronts us with
the question of anarchist practice. This is
an unavoidable reality, and it is also a
matter of respect. He was not killed by a
police officer during an arrest. He was
not murdered by a fascist while putting
up posters, nor did he die in a car
accident. Kyriakos died in a violent
conflict against this world. It requires
courage. The least we can do, with that
courage, is to assert with our heads held
high the practices he employed, as have
other anarchists before him, to challenge
authority. We must recognise and reclaim
these practices as an integral part of
anarchism, calling them by their true
names, for what they are. Without
unnecessary embellishment.
Alas, however, in the whirlwind of this
postmodern delirium in which we
unfortunately find ourselves these days,
we lose track. Collective revolt,
individual revolt, revolutionary
anarchism, propaganda of the deed, class
hatred, social war — none of these seem
to merit space anymore. Anarchism
appears to have given way to activism, to
micro-practicism: to black-and-red,
black-and-green, black-and-pink, to
specialties of all kinds; to various
subcultures. These ~ dimensions ~ have
made hyper-sentimentality their raison
détre and share a serious theoretical
confusion. Clearly, all of this is very easy
and very convenient. Reconciliatory
perspectives abound, bringing everyone
into agreement and making anarchism
more palatable, thus weakening it and
rendering it into something abstract.
Sometimes, however, events restore the
reasons for the anarchist struggle to the
forefront, making it inevitable that we
confrontharsh material ~reality. For
anarchism is social and class war. It is
revenge, blood, lead, and dynamite. It
represents an intervention in social
struggles that goes hand in hand with
individual armed action, without the two
aspects being mutually exclusive. Today,
as yesterday, there are those who believe
that the armed cause is not merely a
dusty old tool consigned to the history
books; it remains applicable and feasible.
Beyond the counter-revolutionary
nonsense of post-anarchism that has
come to us from the starry sea, many of
us also grew up in a historical period
devoted to social peace, compromise,
and disillusionment with any
revolutionary project. In this context,
merely mentioning terms like "rulers,”
“exploited,” and "revolution” causes
many useful idiots who support the
capitalist world to smile, often without
realising it. They are pawns of a system
that chewed them up in the seventies and
eighties and spat them out in the nineties,
only to tell us about times that are no
longer as they once were — times when
revolution is seen as an archaic term
consigned to an inglorious, defeated past.
The notion that armed struggle was
merely an illusion held by a handful of
misguided and glorified individuals is
perpetuated, as if it were a privilege of
political realities that no longer exist.
Thus, we are expected to grow up
reading the history written, as always, by
the victors. The story that recounts
periods of lead, dark years, nighs of the
Republic. The good that ultimately
triumphed over evil. The rhetoric
surrounding the defeat of terrorists and
the return to social peace in the best of
all possible worlds. The only path
forward in the name of democracy. A
series of absurdities that could not help
but influence a significant portion of the
so-called new generations. However,
historiography is one thing, and reality is
another. And if you examine this reality
closely, it becomes evident that there has
always been something that has been,
and continues to be, distanced from these
paternalistic discourses. Strikes,
informal
cells of fire,
federations, revolutionary struggles, new
subversions. There are no glorious years;
revolutionary outbursts are a fire that is
conspiracies,
always bumning, and the flames it
unleashes depend not so much on the
more or less favourable historical
context, but on the strength and
determination of individuals who cast
aside doubts and hesitations, "fears and
self-justifications," take a large dose of
risk, and strike at power.
‘The last time I met Kyriakos, in an alley
in Exarchia, I remember we talked for a
long time. About the world in times of
war and the challenges we face. About
the quality of the struggle. How certain
beliefs had changed, evolved, and
matured over time. About the inherent
limitations of certain single-issue
struggles. About a precise way of
understanding Freedom in its fullest
essence. About a level of conflict that is
far t00 low. About how necessary it is to
raise this level. That is why Kyriakos lost
his life. T believe that the greatest act of
solidarity with those who are no longer
here, and with the comrades who were
investigated and imprisoned for this case,
is to cary forward the ideas and
struggles that these brothers and sisters
brought to the forefront. In theoretical-
practical combination that s increasingly
necessary. Even urgent.
We live in technocracies based on abuse,
slaughter, expropriation, and war. The
wretches who run this deadly system are
safe, with full bellies and swollen bank
accounts. From the top of their small or
large chains of command, they manage
many slaves who consciously or
unconsciously contribute to their wealth
and success. And they no longer fear the
wrath of the oppressed, the knives of the
exploited, or the bombs of the anarchists,
because after years and years of class
violence, the authorities have learned the
hard way how to keep spirits calm. They
have learned that you should not pull too
hard on the rope and take the bread from
the tables, or else the people will pick up
the rakes. They have understood that it is
useful to provide and manufacture
defeats, even if they are artificial. The
rubbish is always the same, never
changing, but it is sweetened by the
illusion of demaocracy and participation.
Reassuring fagades of modem and
progressive governments, democratic
cops and judges, benevolent bosses. But
shit is still shit; they have just learned to
hide it under the right carpets, in prisons
where no one sees and no one cares, in
police cells, in migrant concentration
camps, and in countries where no one
gives a damn, in tomato fields and
cemeteries at the bottom of the sea, in the
deadly, daily, and systematic exploitation
of the workplace. Realities hidden by
mass domestication, achieved through
crumbs and artificial needs, passed off as
prosperity. A poisonous mechanism that
has succeeded in securing social peace,
with the help and support of reformists of every age and colour, without whose
contribution, it is worth remembering, this objective would not have been possible.
Now, on the brink of a third world war, with states and democracies forced to reveal
their true face after so long in hiding, everything seems to be becoming clearer, and
that is why right now, right here, we must reaffirm both in words and deeds the
correctness of our Ideas and practices, our arguments, our refusals. In the squares
during the day and where they least expect us at night. Each according to their own
abilities, their own instinct, their own nature. As the world collapses, it will no |
longer be possible for one to remain still. We know who is on the right side.

Realities behind the arrest of
Nikos Romanos
We are publishing this article from Negation Formations in an effort
10 provide those readers who are not from Greece with information
and context regarding the recent state kidnapping of anarchist Nikos
Romanos.

On 31 October, 2024, an explosion in the Athens neighborhood of Ambelokipoi
killed the comrade Kyriakos X and severely injured the comrade Marianna M.
They were both in an apartment where an explosive device detonated, knocking out
one wall of the building. The state claims they were planning to detonate a bomb
elsewhere and that it exploded prematurely. Both Kyriakos and Marianna are
anarchists, respected participants in the movement.
The press in Greece is owned by a handful of old families who control most of the
remaining greek assets those that haven't been sold off to foreign investors. The
Greek mainstream media exists to disseminate state narratives, and it immediately
began slandering the victims of the explosion as well as engaging in wild

As the Greek press promoted the propaganda of the state, there commenced activity
in some cowardly comers of the left to distinguish the more "guilty" of those
accused from the others. This is the question of who to tar with the labels of
“anarchist” and "terrorist" — thereby assumed to deserve repression- vs. who is
really “innocent."
‘The anarchist movement itself, both in Greece and internationally, has rejected such
division and remained strong in solidarity despite a chilling increase in repression.
There were multiple support gatherings outside the hospital where Marianna was
held under guard and when, shortly after her second surgery, she was transferred to
Korydallos prison, comrades also gathered there. Kyriakos has been honored with
actions, banners, marches, events and memorials, and will remain a beloved
comrade forevermore. There has been no "disavowal,” no step back.
Since the tragedy in Ambelokipoi state repression against those suspected of being
“anarchists” has become more aggressive, although this is consistent with an
ongoing trend since the pandemic. What we have seen now are not new tactics but

Few people in the anarchist movement here have been under as heavy surveillance,
long-term, as the comrade Nikos Romanos. He was a friend of the anarchist Alexis
Grigoropoulos, and witnessed Alexis' murder by police on 6 December 2008. Since
that time Nikos has been arrested many times and accused of many crimes, along
with false accusations of involvement with the direct action group Conspiracy of
Cells of Fire.
Because Nikos is a living witness to the shameful conduct of the state, he has been
labeled a terrorist by politicians and the mass media many times over. Of their many
accusations, however, the only crime the judiciary has ever pinned on him is a bank
robbery, for which he served a prison sentence. During the time he was imprisoned,

of 19-year-old Ramy Elgaml, who died after
falling from his scooter during a police chase.
Ramy's death was just the last straw, as in the
working-class neighbourhoods where the riots
broke out, people are daily harassed by the
police.
25 November, L’Oie, Loire, France:
Incendiary attack on construction machinery
belonging to the Charpentier group due to its
involvement in the construction of large-scale
irrigation canals, an agro-industrial project
harmul to the environment.
‘The attack led to a temporary halt of the works
for the project in the area.
25 November, Wales, United Kingdom:
Daniel Andreas San Diego, a long-time fugitive
wanted for two bomb attacks on biotechnology
company Chiron Inc. in California in 2003, is
arrested.
25 November, Athens, Greece: Comrade Nikos
Romanos is transferred to Korydallos prison
after his pre-trial detention was ordered on 22
November.

Kingdom: Incendiary attack on two meat
trucks outside a slaughterhouse by the Wolf
Howling Commando in memory of fighter

Atack on two vehicles of the
telecommunications company KPN. One was
set on fire and the other was left with broken
windows. The action was taken in response to
KPN’s funding of NEDS, a report on military
industries.
26 November, Kiev, Ukraine: Attempted
bombing of police officers. A 43-year-old man
rented an apartment, rigged the front door with
an F-1 grenade, called the police using a fake
female voice with artificial means, and
reported a fake domestic violence incident to
lure them into the apartment.
According to Russian counter-information
source a2day:
“CBY (Security Service of Ukraine)
reports that he had been convicted
six times for robbery and was
recruited by the Russian secret
services.
This raises doubts in our minds.
Ukrainians have many reasons to
hate their own authorities — extreme
corruption, raids by the TIK

26 November, Munich, Germany: Arson of
two excavators in the Au-Haidhausen area, at a
construction site for a bike lane expansion.

attacks that have taken place in Munich over
the past few years against construction
projects, telecommunications infrastructure,
electric vehicles, and anything else typically
targeted by the anti-authoritarian and, more
broadly, the radical movements in Central and

26 November, Brem, Germany: Attack with
stones and molotov bombs on the headquarters
of OptoPrecision: The reason for the attack
was the company's involvement in the
development of surveillance technologies for
the police, security forces, and the military.
The attack was dedicated to the memory of
Kyriakos X.

26 November, Belarus: The court of appeal
upheld the decision based on Article 411 of the
Penal Code for anarchist prisoner Sergey
Romanov, sentencing him to 2 years in prison.
Sergey Romanov's trial, under paragraph 2 of
Aticle 411 of the Penal Code, took place at
the end of September this year. He was
accused of alleged disobedience towards the
administration of the prison colony in which
he s held.
This is his second conviction under Article
411. Last March, an additional 11 months were
added to his 20-year sentence.
Sergey Romanov is an anarchist who has been
relentlessly persecuted by the authorities for
over a decade due to his anti-authoritarian
actions.
28 November, La Batie-Rolland, Auvergne-
Rhéne-Alpes, France: Arson of two sheds
belonging to the Soterex company, part of the
Poisson group, specialising in public works for
quarries. One of the sheds and two trucks were
completely destroyed.
28 November, Rome, Italy: Arson attack on a
site belonging to Italferr, a subsidiary of the
Ferrovie dello Stato ltaliane group, resulting in
the destruction of 16 cars and a van. The
reason for the attack was the company’s
involvement i military technology
development and its cooperation with the
Israeli military.

28 November, Philadelphia, USA:
Anonymous anarchists broke into the home of
Gavin Kenneally, CEO of Ghost Robotics, and
flooded it by placing a hose inside through a
hole they made in a glass door.
Kenneally had recently been forced to move
out after facing previous attacks, and he is
trying to sell the property.
Ghost Robotics develops robotic dogs used in
Palestine and at the USA-Mexico border.
28 November, Baltimore, Maryland, USA:
Incendiary attack on a municipal vehicle.
Around the same time, an arson attack
occurred on a police patrol car parked outside
the Baltimore Police Department headquarters.
29 November, Athens, Greece: Reoccupation
of the Zizania squat, five months after its
eviction.
30 November, Barcelona, Catalonia: Riots
during a demonstration against the
imprisonment of anarchist comrade Abel. The
offices of the Esquerra Republicana de
Catalunya party and a police union were
attacked, while several supermarkets were
vandalised and paint and bottles were thrown
at police officers.
Abel was imprisoned six months earlier,
serving a sentence of 6 years and 9 months for
being with someone who pushed a Nazi down
the stairs of a metro station.
30 November, Makassar, Sulawesi,
Indonesia: ~ Vandalism and arson of
Hasanuddin University in response to a sexual
harassment incident. While the rector hides,
his collaborators imposed resrictions on the
students and called the police, who arrested
random students, while the perpetrators of the
harassment continue to roam freely on campus.
30 November, Drome, France: Two cameras
at the entrance of the village of Sainte-Eulalie-
en-Royans and one on the facade of the town
hall were destroyed by unknown individuals.
1 December, Delémont, Jura, Switzerland:
Arson of vehicles belonging to Sitadel Sarl
Delémont in protest against the greenwashing
of fracking and the environmentally
destructive geothermal project being attempted
in the area.

2 December, Berlin, Germany: Multiple
arson attacks on vehicles belonging to Cemex
and Heidelberg Materials in the industrial

Again, there are few people in Greece as
relentlessly surveilled as Nikos, which
made it all the more absurd that he was
arrested on 18 November and accused of
unspecified involvement in the explosion,
on the basis of the state claiming to have
discovered a single fingerprint from him
on a trash bag "found” in the destroyed
apartment.
Some or all of the above you may already
know. The purpose of this piece is to
contextualize the arrest and repression of
Nikos in Greece's overall economic
collapse and the scandals of the Greek
state’s ruling party, New Democracy, as
well as to condemn those who respond to
the greek state's abuse of Nikos with
gleeful excitement (because they
anticipate ~ spectacular resistance) and
those who promote state narratives about
Nikos, including the lie- proven to be a
lie in court! — that he was involved in the
group Conspiracy of Cells of Fire.
Nikos has been put through hell by the
state for nearly his entire life, from the
horror of watching his childhood friend
murdered in front of his eyes to years of
repression, intimidation, violence, false
accusations and imprisonment. Anyone
who repeats the state and state-media
slanders about Nikos, using buzzwords
like "terrorist” or breathlessly associating
him with guerrillagroups he wasn't
involved in, is promoting the state's
narrative and serving the greek state’s
agenda.
On 22 November, the state used the
flimsy pretext of the fingerprint to
imprison Nikos more or less indefinitely,
pre-trial, furthering the outrage. Even
some of the right-wing TV talking heads
were at a loss to explain this, which only
provides (additional) evidence that the
supposedly impartial judiciary of Greece
is no more than a weapon of the ruling
class, in this case of Prime Minister
Mitsotakis and New Democracy.
Nikos is being held under article 1874,
an antiterrorism statute passed by the
“progressive” socialist government
previous to new democracy. The excuse
for 187A at the time was that it was
necessary to prosecute Golden Dawn, a
neo-fascist organization- but it wasn't

used for that. Instead, we see in the
detention of Nikos the penal code's true
purpose. All state tools of “anti-
extremism,” including those that claim to
be protection from fascists or to repress
the far right, will end up used against
anarchists.
Article 187A, which applies to terrorist
organizations, states that a terrorist
organization must be at least three people.
So, we have the martyr Kyriakos, the
injured Marianna... and because the state
needed a third, like magic, they discover a
bag with a fingerprint and kidnap Nikos.
Prime Minister Mitsotakis went and
toured the site of the explosion personally,
a bizarre and cynical media circus, and
then pulled a true Reality TV stunt: he
announced that a benevolent construction
company (also, of course, owned by one
of Greece's ruling families) would be
providing free reconstruction of - the
building to give the other residents homes
again.
The recent imprisonment of Nikos is
likewise a stunt, but a cruel, barbaric stunt
using a man's life and freedom to try and
score political points. Not only has New
Democracy been delegitimized by
scandals to name just a few: a mass-
casualty train crash directly caused by
austerity and privatization, deliberate
mass drownings of immigrants, and being
caught using illegal isracli spyware o
monitor political rivals- but the economy
of Greece is collapsing. Rent in most
cities is unaffordable relative to wages,
the healthcare system is being stripped for
parts, and the schools are in shambles.
The abduction of Nikos Romanos is a
provocation by the ruling party towards
the anarchist movement, timed
immediately after the anniversary of the
Polytechnic uprising and just before the
anniversary of the police murder of
Alexis. Mitsotakis wants 1o focus
attention on the anarchists, because his
coalition of neoliberal austerity privatizers
is losing ground to a growing fringe far-
right. Arbitrarily imprisoning a high-
profile anarchist (and thus perhaps
triggering a response) is perfect red meat
for the kind of reactionary droolers who
have been lately abandoning the
technocratic soft-authoritarianism of new
democracy for more overtly fascist
political parties.
We can see the heavy hand of the Greek
state in not just conventional media, but
social media. Shameless, ignorant,
parastatal parasitic "extremism" experts
parrot the lies of Nikos' involvement in
matters he was acquitted of, reactionaries
and liberals casually refer to Nikos as a
“terrorist,"” and Facebook auto-bans Nikos'
name, much as it did the name of the
revolutionary Dimitris Koufontinas during
his 2021 prison hunger strike.
There is a parallel to the case of Tasos
Theophilou, an anarchist-communist who
was sentenced to 25 years in prison for a
bank robbery he didn't commit. Tasos also
was falsely accused of membership in
Conspiracy of Cells of Fire (despite not
sharing their ideology), and the state's
evidence against him was the anti-
terrorism task force claiming they found
his DNA on a hat near the bank- although
the hat in question wasn' in the list of
items collected and photographed at the
scene of the robbery.
Although Tasos' conviction was
eventually overturned and he successfully
sued the state for his five years of false
imprisonment, the government and its
media parrots defamed Tasos for years
based on these false accusations. After all,
he's an anarchist!
There are many more instances and
incidents I could invoke here, but I hope
that this helps establish that
1.) the arbitrary imprisonment of Nikos in
the wake of an unrelated tragedy is a sick
political game by the state, and
2. those who accept and repeat the Greek
state’s lies about Nikos are de facto agents
of state repression.
Let us reject not only the continued abuse
of Nikos Romanos and other prisoners by
the state, but the state’s naratives and
slanders.

Athens, Greece: Solidarity with the
imprisoned comrades for the Antifa Ost
and Ampelokipi cases
On October 21, antifascist Thomas J (Nanuk) is arrested in Berlin and linked to the case
of Antifa Ost in which a group of antifascists have already been convicted on charges of
the attack to neo-Nazis and the formation of a terrorist group. On November 8th,
antifascist Johann G. is arrested and also linked to the same case. His arrest was made
following a request from the German authorities for any information at a price of 10000
euros, the publication of photographs in the media as well as the close monitoring of
nearby and relatives. At the same time, the extradition of activist Maja T. in Hungary in
correlation with the attack on neo-Nazis in Budapest in February 2023. As always, there
is cooperation between states, now between Germany and Hungary, with the aim of
suppressing anti-fascist movements. The German state uses Article 129 of its penal code
to classify individuals and groups as participants in terrorist organizations to achieve
stronger penalties and thus greater repression. The same thing happens here when, after
the explosion in Ampelokipoi on October 30, the Greek state is creating schemes once
again accusing people based only on their interpersonal relations. These moves of state
mechanisms from Greece to Hungary and Germany are usual tactics of repression
towards their common enemy, that is everyone who challenges their authority.
‘These days we hung a banner in Gini occupied building at the Polytechnic as a minimal
sign of solidarity with our imprisoned comrades in Greece and Germany. We are full of
rage and hatred for the trash that are in positions of power, the values they profess and
those in society that embrace them. We are against those who support and reproduce the
authority of any form over our bodies and the bodies of non-human animals.
Our comrades who fall fighting will forever be in our hearts. Our comrades behind bars
and those who are persecuted either for their militant action or because they chose to
exist not in a legal way in this world have our support
and we hope to we give them strength by continuing with our own
means the attack on society. We are with everyone that is fighting to
fulfill the desire to destroy what oppresses them, regardless of the
probability of victory. Only by conflict - whether in the streets,
homes and offices of all kinds of authoritarians, or inside ourselves -
can we win moments of freedom.

The passion for destruction is a passion for creation
ower signifies the total denial of freedom. Coercion is the primary tool used by those who
decide to rule. Therefore, we are speaking of a world built on this fundamental aesthetic
hoice. This choice of the ruling class calls upon its subjects to enact it. The rectorate of the
[National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) is yet another cog in the machine, one of
threads in the institutional fabric of the state, whose role, on an ideological level, is to
kterilise, to increase productivity, to create an "excellent” specialised worker who does not
aise their head except when it concerns better career opportunities. In short, the ideological
role of the university in the neoliberal bourgeois state is to present the "governance of
' science" as the only way societies can organise themselves. The means by which the
L university carries out this role is through the monopoly on knowledge, or rather the
ultivation of the illusion that it truly monopolises knowledge.
Jin fact, the so-called excellence of NTUA is postgraduate collaboration with TERNA,

company, and one of the largest in the world by revenue, which

of the Ferrovie dello Stato Ttaliane group, also controlled by the
Ministry of Finance. This agreement is part of the
implementation of the logistics of war required by the changing
global geopolitical landscape. The war in Ukraine, along with a
broader redefinition of the balance of power between capitalist

“In these times, when anarchists are
being pushed back all over the

military materials within Europe. This
plan, passed in 2018 by the European
Commission, and the only one in the
defence sector to receive approval from
all member states, commits them to
“simplify and standardise the procedures
for cross-border military transport” and
“10 allow the free movement of military
personnel and equipment within EU
borders” (from the official PESCO
website, an EU initiative under the
Common Security and Defence Policy
aimed at the structural integration of
armed forces). Note that this project was
proposed by the commander of the United
States Army in Europe, General Ben
Hodges, to highlight Europe’s subjugation
to the will of US imperialism. While
Europe continues to lock down its
borders, and the “free movement of goods
and people” becomes a memory, a victim
of the whims of individual leaders ready
to suspend it at the emergence of new
“emergencies,’ work continues to
facilitate the "free” movement of military
units and resources by removing
bureaucratic barriers and improving
infrastructure.
Specifically regarding this agreement,
Leonardo will be responsible for
providing "its expertise and support in
advanced AL techniques on several
fronts: census and monitoring of dual-use
infrastructures, modelling of complex
infrastructures and services, simulation
and optimisation of complex networks,”
while RFI will provide the physical
infrastructure, its management and
maintenance, considering that it consists
of a communication network alongside
railway tracks that runs through many
vectors across the Italian peninsula. It
therefore seems that the primary
application of this agreement is to provide
the company possessing the HPC (High-
Performance Computing) Davinci-1, one
of the most powerful supercomputers in
the world in the aerospace, defence, and
security sectors, “with a secure
communication infrastructure
interoperable with different types of
networks (TETRA, LTE, 4G/5G), to
ensure high levels of service and
security.” What is being outlined here, in
simpler terms, is the transition of an
infrastructure primarily designed for
civilian use to one of the most powerful
military-industrial sectors in Italy and the
world.
Dual-use is no longer the exception, or a
tendency, but the norm. What is
developed for civilian purposes must be
easily reconverted for military use.
According to this logic, there is no real
distinction between civilian and military;
everything (society as a whole, from
public institutions such as universities and
research centres to infrastructures, from
transport to energy networks) can and
must be conceived and designed to be
mobilised for war purposes. What has
been produced by Capital with the false
promise of serving the well-being of
populations inevitably retrns to serve
Capital when it needs to arm itself to
secure new and more profitable margins of
profit. War is, in fact, inwinsic to the
capitalist production system, as it allows
Capital to escape periods of stagnation, to
relaunch industry and technological
innovation through production incentives,
to conquer new territories to exploit, and
to bum enormous amounts of capital,
goods, and surplus labour.
For this reason, on the night of November
28 in Rome, we set up flammable
materials and caused a fire that, according
to the media, destroyed a total of 16
vehicles and a van belonging to Italferr, a
subsidiary of the Ferrovie dello Stato
Italiane group.
Italferr is a company that deals with
engineering services and design, project
management, and supervision of works,
conducting tenders and project
management activities for major
infrastructural - investments of the FS
group. Being part of the same group, and
also for technical reasons, it works closely
with RFL.
As a compliant collaborator in the military
shift currently underway, we have
identified Italferr, as part of the FS group,
as a target in our antimilitarist efforts to
counter the new war-driven direction of
states.
Leonardo, for its part, is, as mentioned
above, a leading company in the fields of
defence, aerospace, and security. It is the
14th largest arms company in the world
and the second largest in the European
Union, a position it achieved after decades
of acquisitions that allowed it to
accumulate a significant body of know-
how and cutting-edge research and
development centres. It has weathered
several scandals linked to corruption
investigations, thanks to its strong
integration with high levels of politics,
guaranteed by the continuous passage of
loyal servants of the State to its board of
directors (for example, consider the figure
of Gianni de Gennaro, a loyal executioner
who headed the police during the G8 of
Genoa in 2001, rewarded for his servile
loyalty with the appointment as president
of Leonardo from 2013 to 2020).
Recently, the company has come under
scrutiny due to its strong ties to the Israeli
military industry. Just to give one
example, in 2022 it promoted the
acquisition of the Israeli company RADA
Electronic Industries Ltd, which
specialises in advanced military tactical
radar. RADA Electronic Industries is one
of the many Isracli arms companies that
market their systems as "field-tested",
meaning tested on the Palestinian
population living under a military
occupation and apartheid regime. RADA
boasts close collaborations with the Israeli
military and major Israeli arms companies
such as IAI, Rafael, and Elbit Systems.
However, the integration of the Israeli
military-industrial system with Leonardo
On the Day of the Deserter in Milan
As the spiral of violence intensifies, from Gaza to Lebanon,
from Kursk to Zaporizhzhia, with the spectre of nuclear war
looming just a hair’s breadth away, the rasputitsa, the
autumnal swamp, invades the trenches along the NATO-
Russia frontline, where hundreds of thousands of men refuse
to fight or "flee into the woods” to avoid being conscripted
into a war that only benefits the exploited, and whose
industrial base is also found here in Italy, the "ammunition
factory" of Ukraine.
The principles of a military ethos founded on the spirit of
sacrifice, where death is made desirable, today find legitimacy
is long-established: in 2011, a major
agreement was signed in which Israel
supplied a satellite system to the Ttalian
Army in exchange for Leonardo-made
training jets. These trainer jets are
commonly used by the Israeli Air Force
(IAF) to train their pilots, the same ones
who have been bombing the Palestinian
population and Gaza for over a year,
committing what is increasingly being
defined as ethnic cleansing aimed at
expelling the Gaza population to seize that
territory.
We also note that in recent months
Leonardo's profits have risen from 40
million to 459 million, thanks to the huge
sales of military systems to Ukraine,
Israel, and war regimes around the world.
If this company thinks that its bloody
dealings will go unnoticed and that it can
continue unpunished with the benevolence
of politics and the judiciary, it is gravely
mistaken.
For this action, we were inspired by
attacks carried out in Europe against the
military industry and war, which spread
following the call to action at the Balkan
anarchist book fair , with whose final
declaration we are in agreement.
Our medium-term goal with this action is
o target something simple, clear,
recognisable, and easily attackable due to
its widespread presence across the
territory.
Action against what oppresses us is easy
and reproducible. We will demolish this
system of oppression, piece by piece, gear
by gear, with our ideals and our desire for

Mount Rombon, found support and protection in flight from

In an era where the ideological rise of
democracy and pacifism justifies military
intervention by rehabilitating the grammar
of just war without calling it such, the
courage to rebel — which is increasingly
being recorded against both the Ukrainian
and Russian States, and even against the
existential and permanent mobilisation of
the Zionist state — the “refuseniks” —
must be supported and defended. Not only
for very valid ethical reasons, but also
because it could materially lead to the

In these early days of December, the ongoing world war has taken a
sharp acceleration. In just a few days, the advance of the “rebels” has led
to the collapse of Assad’s regime, with all of the West applauding as they
quickly rehabilitate a breakaway faction of Al-Qaeda (from "terrorist
cutthroats” to “moderate Islamists” and political - interlocutors).
Meanwhile, the Zionist army invades Syrian territory and proceeds to
destroy its military infrastructure. This is a rapidly evolving scenario,
still difficult to untangle, but it marks a further expansion of the conflict
in the Middle East. And while a fragile ceasefire continues in Lebanon,
in Gaza, Zionist bombs continue to massacre entire families.
In Europe, as Ukraine’s defeat becomes ever more evident - to the point
where even mainstream media are beginning to speak of the widespread
desertion — anti-war parties are scoring significant electoral successes
but find their path blocked, as is happening in Romania and Georgia,
while central Europe plunges into a political (and economic) crisis
marked by the recent collapse of the German and French governments.
In the United States, the last-ditch efforts of the Biden administration
seem to clarify the neoconservative intention to respond to the collapse
of their hegemony by dragging the entire world into an increasingly
irreversible conflict, ever closer to the nuclear threshold. And while
hostility to the Biden-Harris policies was made glaringly clear by the
overwhelming victory of the somewhat less war-hungry Trump, the ever
more exploited working class in the US hails Luigi Mangione, the
alleged killer of the CEO of a multinational healthcare insurance
company, as a vengeful hero. The temperature in the heart of the empire
is rising.
As the vortex of global war expands, the various global and regional
powers are forced to drop their masks. The field is cleared: exploited
against exploiters. The oppressed are left with only one road, however
steep: to transform the chaos recklessly sown by the USA (and not
only....) into a possibility for revolt and revolution.
Mobilising to hinder the war plans of our local masters is the first step.
That is why, on 19 December, we will be in Tessera (Venice), at the

imposing the 41-bis regime on anarchist
comrade Alfredo Cospito. In October 2022,
Alfredo began a hunger strike against the
41-bis regime and the life sentence without
the possibility of parole, which lasted for 6
months, seriously endangering his life.
During those 182 days, thousands of people
took to the streets alongside Alredo,
demanding not only that our comrade be
freed from this regime of torture, but also
the abolition of 41-bis and the end of the
life sentence without parole.
Despite protests and our fight, the
government, represented by Minister
Nordio, ~confirmed Marta Cartabia’s
decision, sentencing Cospito to death.
However, in April of the same year,
Alfredo resumed eating, saving his life.

What happened during those six months
demonstrated how the ltalian democratic
state uses torture and political persecution
against its enemies without any moral
hesitation. The interests of the state
triumph over any guarantee of rights. The
41-bis is a regime of sensory deprivation,
psychological and physical torture from
which one can only escape by renouncing
oneself or betraying someone else. 1t
became starkly evident that eliminating
one’s enemies—whether real or potential—
is more than just an option.
And in that “clear” state framework of
response and a unified stance on how to
treat the enemy, revealing the torturer and
Kkiller face of the state itself, since February
2022, the conflict in Ukraine continued to
rage, shifting the world, as we knew it, into
astate of war.

case of “an anarchist in 41-bis” was not an
exceptional incident, but rather a step in a
model of discipline and repression,
increasingly useful to a state at war. The
underlying message seemed to be: any
possibility of acting against the state, any
chance to resist or fight, is banned by the

Without overcomplicating things, we can
see a clear continuity between this left-
wing-initiated measure signed by Cartabia
and Bill 1660 (formerly 1236 in the
Senate), signed by Nordio, Crosetto, and
Piantedosi, the so-called “Security
Package”, which aims to regulate dissent
and struggle, pushing any form of
opposition outside the realm of the
“permissible”.
In the context of the global and generalised
war we are living through, the
centralisation of economic, political,
military, and propaganda power, alongside
global competition, is leading tothe
necessity of erasing class struggle. This
shift is qualitative, not just quantitative: the
workforce must be obedient and underpaid,
with the very real risk of ending up in
dilapidated, militarised prisons and places
of death. The prospect of change, even if
not radical, must be forgotten. Pacification
must reign supreme.
And in Italy, to guarantee control over class
struggle, power is increasingly centralised
in the govermnment, specifically the
executive. This is true in Cospito’s case, as
it seems to be in the case of the outsourcing
of prisons to Albania, and as confirmed by
the Bill. It is a clear declaration of war
against the “outcasts,” the excluded,
whether voluntary or not.
To the recipe they are preparing for us—
batons on the inside, bombs on the outside
—the best response can only be to open
new spaces of struggle, conflict, solidarity,
and mutual support, starting from the forms
of resistance they wish to strip from us.

Anarchism in the
Indonesia of 2024:
An overview
Anarchism is flourishing within the turbulent socio-political landscape
of Indonesia, despite increased anti-anarchist repression and media
smear campaigns. Almost thirty years after the fall of Suharto’s
authoritarian regime, which marked the beginning of the Reformasi —
the current transitional period of the Indonesian state — the futility of
reformism has become ever more apparent, and the need for radical
approaches is becoming increasingly urgent. In this context, alongside
the fact that the left has never really managed to regain its footing in the
country after the anti-communist purges of 196566, it is clear why
Indonesia has such a strong anarchist presence compared to other Asian
countries.
The uprisings that erupted across the archipelago in August 2024,
sparked by President Jokowi's (Joko Widodo) attempts to amend the
electoral law in order to secure his political legacy, are the latest
evidence of the anger and frustration bred in this part of the world by
corruption, nepotism, poverty, unemployment, evictions, grabbing of
customary land, and environmental destruction. Of course, among all of
this, the violence, abuses, and mafia-like actions of the police are also
part of the picture.
Now, with Jokowi’s succession by war criminal Prabowo Subianto,
many fear that the Indonesian state will take a more authoritarian and
militaristic turn, as indicated by recent moves in occupied West Papua,
where thousands of indigenous people have been forced to flee their
villages by the Indonesian military".
This grim reality is a call to show our internationalist solidarity with
those brave hearts who resist it.

gendarmerie took place at the cell of anarchist
comrade Aldo Hernandez, during which they
seized his television and cooking pot, before
transferring him to the second high-security
unit. Anarchist comrade Francisco Solar is also
housed in this complex, specifically in unit 1,
where he has been held for 4 years, sill
fighting to be released from solitary
confinement.
Since it is the right of any defendant to keep
the research file in their cell, the gendarmerie
carried out this move to place Aldo in high-
security conditions, which include 21 hours of
isolation and many other restrictions,

in prisons generally, and the brutality

Switch off! The system of destruction:
International call of action against Kreditanstalt fiir
Wiederau in solidarity with the struggle of the
residents of Poco Leok in Indonesia
“We’re very angry and upset with the
ongoing natural exploitation and human
oppression done by the state and
corporations, backed up by miliary
forces!”
These are the words with which our Indonesian
comrades described the situation in their country. Of
course, in a Global South country, the Western hand
cannot fail to play a prominent role in such a
situation. One such example is the struggle being
waged for over two years by the indigenous people of
Poco Leok in East Nusa Tenggara (ANT) against a
geothermal project by PT PLN (the state electricity
company), largely supported by the German state
development bank Kreditanstalt fiir Wiederaufbau
(KfW), which escalated in October 2024 with reports
of human rights violations.
Regarding the geothermal project
The proposed expansion of the Ulumbu Geothermal
Plant continues to expand the energy sector under the
guise of sustainability. Behind the narrative of
providing clean energy and promises of prosperity for
the local population, there lie numerous investment
interests that have litdle to do with improving
community welfare. According to data from WALHI,
ANT is currently surrounded by 309 mining and coal
extraction licences (IUP), tourism industries,
monoculture plantations, food estates, and many
national strategic projects (PSN). These indusrial
interests are the main drivers behind the expansion of
the Ulumbu Geothermal Plant, which is set to
increase its capacity from 20 MW to 40 MW, with
plans to construct units 5 and 6 in the Poco Leok area.
During this process, PT PLN and local authorities
have employed ~deceitful practices, disregarding
customary law. This is evident in their approach to the
population, which was neither inclusive nor
transparent, as well as in the unauthorised
certification and funding of customary lands without
the knowledge or consent of the community. Private
and customary lands were fenced off without the
approval of their owners, bypassing local customary
agreements. This also led to internal conflicts within
the community, creating tensions between the
indigenous people and members of the diaspora. This
investment project aims to acquire 22.29 hectares of
land, most of which consists of traditional land
managed and maintained by the local community for
centuries. Poco Leok is not merely a vacant land
awaiting exploitation. It is a vital living space for the
local community, deeply connected to their historical
existence, providing sustenance while maintaining the
balance of nature.
‘The geothermal project poses significant risks to local
agricultural productivity, water resources, and raises
concerns about landslides due to the hilly geography
of the area. The experiences of neighbouring
communities with geothermal projects have
strengthened the resolve of the people of Poco Leok.
In Mataloko, another geothermal project led to the
destruction of crops due to heat emissions, while in
the Sorik Marapi region of North Sumatra, deaths
were caused by hydrogen sulphide (H2S) gas leaks.
In Poco Leok, there are fears of similar outcomes, as
water and air quality checks carried out by Jatam in
April 2024 detected pollutants in the river water and
H2S contamination around the Ulumbu drilling sites.
‘This toxic exposure presents serious health risks to
the community, which depends on these natural
resources.
Since 2022, the local communities of Poco Leok,
consisting of three villages and 13 gendang
(indigenous tribal communities), have organised
various protests o express their concems about
environmental damage, land deprivation, and threats
to their livelihoods and traditional way of life. They
have carried out at least 26 acts of resistance, which
often led to violent interventions by the police and
military forces.
The escalation of the conflict dates back to 2023,
particularly ~after 8th February 2023, when
representatives from PLN, accompanied by military
and police forces, began visiting the three villages of
Poco Leok almost daily. This culminated in the events
of 2nd October 2024, when four villagers and a
journalist were arrested.
The arrests
‘This incident began with a public consultation held
from 3rd to dth September 2024, followed by a
dialogue with representatives of the German
development bank KfW through the independent
group Monkey Forest Consulting (MFC) on 6th
September 2024. Prior to this, the people of Poco
Leok had sent letters to the German Ambassador to
Indonesia, Ina Lepel, and to the Director of the
Indonesian KfW, Burkhards Hinz, in Jakarta. Through
this letter, the residents expressed their strong
opposition to the planned expansion of units 5-6 in
Poco Leok.
The meeting between the investors and the
community ended with the investors’ representatives
promising to convey the community’s clear rejection
of the geothermal expansion project. However, on
2nd October, PLN, with the support of hundreds of
police, military forces, and Satpol PP (municipal
police units), attempted to unilaterally survey the area
in search of road access and drilling points. This
invasion led to violent clashes with the locals,
resulting in injuries and four arbitrary arrests. Among
the arrested was a journalist from the independent
news platform floresa.co, despite the fact that
journalistic work is supposed to be protected from
government or other entities’ interference under
Article 40 of the 1999 Press Law. Thus, this issue
takes on further dimensions, as if such repressive acts
g0 unanswered, it paves the way for further attacks on
press freedom by the state.
KfW and the call to action
KfW provides capital to PT PLN through unsecured
loans, with a commitment of 150 million euros for the
expansion of Ulumbu. Without the involvement of the
German bank, this project would not be feasible.
KfW, headquartered in Frankfurt with CEO Stefan
Wintels, has been the largest national development
bank in the world since 2014. Together with its
subsidiaries, DEG, KfW IPEX-Bank, and FuB, it
forms the Kfw Bankengruppe banking group. KfW
finances “green development” investments in
developing countries, following the UN Agenda
2030, and is therefore on the front lines of the attack
launched by green capitalism against nature, people,
and indigenous ways of life.

Everything is becoming electric. Our usage keeps increasing. From
toothbrushes (o smart homes, cars, bikes, scooters, and recently, even
electric trousers are supposed to help us climb the mountain. So, more
comfort and more consumption.
Now we find ourselves in a tricky situation — clean energy is needed. But
where is it supposed to come from? For GeoEnergieSuisse and the Swiss
government, apparently from the fracking project in the Swiss Jura. It’s
called “petrothermal deep geothermal energy”: drill kilometres deep into
the earth, pump vast amounts of water and chemicals into the hole to
generate electricity for 10-15 years, until the hole cools down. And then?
Another drill?
‘The Earth is not Emmental cheese! But the government and the rest of
the political establishment are stubborn. Their only interest is profit and
ensuring that everything continues as before. All of this, on a short-term
basis, even with risks, if necessary. To hell with the environment and
people’s health.
But we stand against it! For us, it is clear that a change is urgently
needed. The question is not how we can keep going when the
consumption of goods and resources continues to spiral out of control.
Our question is: When will it stop? Our consumption habits, the absurd
overproduction, as well as the current electricity consumption, need to
change. And the answer cannot be some greenwashed FRACKING!
So, a visit was paid to “Sitadel Sarl Delémont”, which ended with a few
of their cars burning. On the one hand, to defend ourselves, on the other,
as a call 1o all those who are also fed up with the insane geothermal
project in Glovelier. Resist, protest, and sabotage! The population has
long said they do not want “petrothermal deep geothermal energy” and
all legal means of opposing it have been exhausted. The state is pushing
the project through regardiess. So, there is nothing left to do but take
action ourselves.
‘This attack was directed at the planning office of the geothermal project,
but they are not the only ones involved. There are countless ways to
resist and countless companies to sabotage, because they all have names
and addresses.

An anarchist reflection
on the flood in Levante
At late October 2024, Valencia and the wider Levante
region in Iberia were hit by a monstrous flood that
brought down 20 months’ worth of rainfall in just 8
hours. The phenomenon was so devastating that,
compounded by the state’s inadequate response, it
resulted in over 200 deaths. This text, written a few
days later by an anarchist group from Madrid, brings
to the forefront the true culprit of this tragedy: the
techno-industrial capitalist system.

industrial society that constitutes a catastrophe itself. Undoubtedly,
since its inception, industrialisation has produced an ecocidal and
freedom-reducing society, the consequences of which are an
industrially devastated world. Seas, land, and air contaminated with
thousands of chemicals, making the world uninhabitable, sick, and
on the brink of the abyss. From the polluted skies of London, full of
hunger and misery, during the First Industrial Revolution, to the
present day, where industrial devastation reaches every corner of the
planet.

What happened last week on the Iberian Levante is the
result of the devastation of the land by capitalism and its
repulsive technocratic managers. We say it loud and clear:
they are murderers. They extend their military wars into a
war against all life, with the disastrous consequences of
cach catastrophe that threatens our lives. They have
programmed a mechanistic and artificial world where
absolutely everything is reduced to economic interests,
resulting in the dire living conditions we are subjected to.
Both ancient and modern knowledge knew how to prevent
floods, knew not to build next to riverbeds, knew not to
deforest large areas of land, knew that devastating the earth
and burying it under concrete would not stop nature — on the
contrary, it would provoke great disasters. But the disastrous
ideology of progress cannot be stopped.
How many more times will we believe the tale that it was a
natural disaster? How many more times will we ask for
explanations from those who manage our lives? We have
nothing to ask from the institutions because obviously, we
do not believe they were unprepared for the flood. We do
not think they are useless; they simply defend interests —
they defend progress and life reduced to economics. They
defend a world that causes wars, misery, and catastrophes.
‘We will never play their game, which reduces everything to
political and economic interests, where the lives of people
and all living things mean nothing to them. Have we ever
heard the left or right call for an end to urban development
on the Iberian Levanie? Have we ever heard that the
destruction of soil, irrigation channels, and forests would
lead to catastrophes? For whom are mega hotel complexes,

intensive farming, sprawling shopping centres, and large
infrastructures that facilitate the movement of goods and
data useful? Only for the political and business class, and
the technocrats who design our lives. Those who
continuously alter the world (o ensure nothing changes, so
they do not lose their privileges.
In the coming days, politicians, businesspeople, and
technocrats will start the great media circus. They will
throw around bravado, insults, and threats, crocodile tears
will flow, they will find "solutions” only to end up throwing
mud at each other so that nothing changes. They will use
pretty words of nonsense, and under the disguise of
neolanguage, a new sustainable and inclusive project will
calm the waters, and the best of all possible worlds will
continue to function.
'UNDER THE MANTRA OF CLIMATE CHANGE
Media terrorism has found a great ally: climate change.
Today, every disaster has an excuse. The child didn’t do his
homework: ~ climate ~change. Floods: climate change.
Inflation: climate change... and to tackle climate change,
what better than to artificialise every aspect of life,
digitalise and computerise everything so that it remains
under constant surveillance, and that resources or the
management and administration of poor citizens are
concentrated in fewer and fewer hands. Something smells
rotten. Under the pretext of climate change, a new form of
domination is being created, one that s increasingly
totalitarian.
However, what happened is a typical meteorological
phenomenon for this time of year in Levante: polar
maritime air with easterly winds that bring torrential rains.
It is the "cold drop” (gota fria) that has been occurring for
decades, which now the mass indoctrination media call
“‘Dana’.
EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL
‘The media and political machinery has already been set in
motion. Talking about anything but the cause of the problem
is the mantra to follow. The left claims it is the fault of the
right, thus avoiding discussing a problem for which they
themselves are responsible. If we add to this the media
appearance of a group of Nazis, the job is excellently done.
‘The flood is the fault of the Nazis and climate change. End
of story. As for the right, iU’ the same but the other way
around; everything is the fault of the left and radical left-
wing groups. Meanwhile, thousands of people suffer in
miserable ~conditions. Politicians, _businesspeople, and
technocrats prepare their next attack on life in order to
maximise profits.
We have seen, in repeated catastrophes, that the army and
the police are in charge of rationalising everyday life. They
are the authority in command. Thus, nothing can ever be out
of control. An absolute control of space and time is
imposed. Under the orders of technocrats, military
personnel, and police, mutual aid and solidarity impulses
between neighbours and outsiders have been denied.
Repression multiplies in times of catastrophe ~and
emergency, and we have scen people sent to prison after
looting. These are people who had nothing to eat or drink.
For those who like democracy, here are two full cups.
Similarly, help from other provinces, both from "volunteers'
and material resources and food, has been denied;
everything must be perfectly controlled, mapped, and
monitored, with nothing left outside of their management.
On the other hand, accepting self-management, mutual aid,
and solidarity would be to expose them, as many people
would likely realise that they do not need the State, Capital,
or its miserable life mediated by economics and technology
to live. We must be prepared for future catastrophes and
understand all the movements of our enemies, which will
help us reflect on and project ideas and practices beyond the
limits and channels of democracy.
We insist, in this short text written in haste, that these are
not “natural disasters”; it is capitalism and the devastation
of the land and pre-capitalist ways of life that cause these
catastrophes. Only the destruction of capitalism and the
techno-industrial system will end these and other
catastrophes.

Switch off! The system of destruction:
Berlin, Germany: Claim of responsibility for incendiary attack on machinery and
vehicles belonging to CEMEX and Heidelberg

The flames once again illuminated the dark and cold
nights of Berlin. By the morning of December 2nd, all
that remained of the machines and vehicles of the
concrete giants Cemex and HeidelbergMaterials was
rubble and ashes. This is not the first time these
companies have faced well-deserved attacks. Back in the
winter of 2023/24', several trucks and a conveyor belt
belonging to Cemex were completely destroyed by fire,
and multiple trucks used by HeidelbergMaterials to
transport concrete for the A100 motorway were burned
down. The accompanying statements claimed
responsibility and highlighted the companies'
involvement in projects of environmental destruction and
colonialism. Now, the concrete industry has suffered
another blow.
‘There is no need to explain why these two companies
were targeted again. We see this act as part of a
continuous series of attacks on concrete giants
worldwide, an offensive against those responsible for
ecacide, which is already a reality in many teritories.
These companies actively participate in neo-colonial
policies and profit from war, exploitation, and genocide
in the regions where they operate.
Concrete plays a significant role in today's world.
Countless metropolises have been built, resembling cages
for humans, where one can only breathe in exhaust fumes
and misery. They are places of alienation, where the awe-
inspiring beauty of wild nature can no longer be seen,
and faceless towers block the sunlight as human folly
attempts to scrape the sky by constructing ever-taller
buildings. But they forget that there will always be a little
plant that finds a crack in the concrete, takes root, and
grows. This splash of color amid the dreary grey is living
proof that wild nature can resist the oppressive
concrete. Likewise, we are fortunate, and they are
unfortunate, that there are people everywhere who
want to destroy their world of concrete. It inspires us
and brings a smile to our faces every time we hear
that companies devastating the earth are met with
rage and fire elsewhere.

an embrace for the comrades who have carried out
actions in other parts of the world... for we know

surrounding areas, we decided (o slip away one night for a litdle nocturnal escapade
along the old railway under the starry sky.
On the night of the anniversary of the death of Lobo, Elefteria Hambi, we set alight two meat
trucks parked on the road next to a slaughterhouse in Lincolnshire. We placed a small bottle of
gasoline next to the front tyre and used fire starter paste to create a quick fuse that would allow us
to monitor the safety of the operation. With no buildings or people around, the operation was
successful and nobody risked being hurt.
To prevent the rehabilitation of the track as part of the Cigéo project, we bent a rail
between Nangois and Gondrecourt-le-Chateau using a botdle jack.

Chile: Nine years after the arrest of comrades
Kevin Garrido and Joaquin Garcia
Memory and solidarity with those who
attack power.
In the early hours of November 19, 2015,
comrade Kevin Garrido, aged 18, set off on
his bicycle towards the vicinity of the San
Bernardo Gendarmerie School, armed with a
homemade bomb, a knife, and a lighter.
After choosing the location for the bomb, the
comrade activated it. The device, which he
had crafted himself, consisted of a fire
extinguisher filled with over 2 kilograms of
black powder, shrapnel, and a fuse.
After the explosion at one of the entrances to
the prison officers' school, the comrade was
quickly pursued and captured by an
undercover car from the vile Chilean police,
who had been following his steps since he
had placed another explosive device at the
12th police station in San Miguel on October
29, 2015. This was claimed by the
“International Conspiracy for Revenge —
Gerasimos Tsakalos Deflagrating Cell” (a
comrade from the CCF imprisoned in
Greece).
That same night, an arrest warrant was
issued for anarchist comrade Joaquin Garcia
Chancks, who was deemed an accomplice
for the attack at the 12th police station, along
with Kevin. The following morning, both
comrades were exposed across all TV
channels as trophies for the Chilean police
state: “They sat me in one of their
showrooms for over six hours, listening to
the words spewed by a prosecutor with a
repulsive stench. In the face of the judges’
and prosecutors’ speeches accusing me and
my comrade and threatening us with dozens
of years in prison, they expected faces of
sadness or concern, not realising we would
laugh and insult them to their faces.” (Kevin
Garrido, November 2016).
After their formal charges, the comrades
were placed in preventive detention in the
maximum security section of the CAS. In
June 2016, after spending seven months in
this regime of punishment and isolation,
Kevin requested a transfer to the Santiago 1
prison/industrial complex, where he was sent
o different modules for repeat offenders,
without going through the usual “first-time®
modules, violating protocol and clearly
acting out of vengeance by the gendarmerie.
still, Kevin never asked for special treatment
from his wretched jailers, nor did he walk in
fear within the prison. On the contrary,
Kevin faced incarceration with the same
resolve he practiced in the streets, and for
this reason, he was always well-received by
fellow inmates in the modules he lived in.
In July 2016, comrade Joaquin was granted
house arrest, which he violated just a few
days later. In September 2016, after being
underground for more than two months,
Joaquin was recaptured by the PDI, carrying
a revolver and ammunition.
After 3 years and 7 months of imprisonment,
a lengthy trial was held for both comrades.
‘They were found guilty of the attack on the
12th police station in San Miguel, and Kevin
was also found guilty of the attack on the
gendarmerie school, while Joaquin was
convicted for carrying a firearm and
ammunition at the time of his recapture. On
September 5, 2018, Kevin and Joaquin were
sentenced to 17 and 13 years in prison,
respectively.
On the morning of Friday, November 2,
2018, after the morning roll call, comrade
Kevin Garrido was involved in a conflict
with an authoritarian prison inmate, who
cowardly and dishonorably attacked him
from behind while Kevin was going to
retrieve his weapon 1o confront him. After
this cowardly attack, Kevin was left severely
injured, without receiving the necessary
medical assistance, waiting for the
ambulance for 1 hour and 15 minutes. He
was then transferred to Barros Luco hospital,
where he died after a high-risk operation.
On Sunday, November 5, a large funeral was
held, which proceeded from San Bernardo to
the La Victoria neighbourhood, where he
was received by comrades and affinities,
who accompanied the funeral procession
with chants, leaflets, banners, fire, fireworks,
and lead. All of this took place under a heavy
police siege, which included helicopters,
GOPE, police vans, wounded people, and
clashes.
Comrade Kevin Garrido never saw himself
as a victim of the prison system; on the
contrary, he faced it with dignity, declaring
war on all expressions of the vile
authoritarianism that made it up—whether
jailers, authoritarian prisoners, judges, or
prosecutors,

1 speak in the plural because my resistance is not merely
individual but s the practical evidence of a collective
struggle that has persisted unceasingly, both inside prison and
in the streets, alongside a myriad of groups confronting and
resisting the society built upon the hierarchies that uphold the
state, prison, and capital.
1t has now been 16 years and 9 months of imprisonment in
this current period. On December 16th, it marked 15 years
since we were expelled from Neuquén, Argentina, and
handed over to the Chilean authorities to be tried and
condemned in processes rife with irregularities, where we are
held as hostages of the state, subject to the whims of its
corrupt judicial power.
In my case, I was sentenced to 14 years for two bank
robberies. I have reiterated this countless times, but as long as
1 remain imprisoned, I will not be silent about what I endure,
especially when this sentence was fully served on December
16th of last year. In other words, I should have been released
over a year ago.
‘They keep me imprisoned after all these years because of a
clear act of vengeance by the authorities, an evident
kidnapping that would not withstand a rigorous review of its
own legality, sanctioned by the entire institutional framework
as a unified body defending the current state of affairs,
always in service of their privileges.

Eleven years have passed since his departure, and from
our current struggles, we remember the comrade, not
merely as an act of remembrance but by connecting with
Pelao Angry through the ongoing relevance of
expropriation as a form of struggle against the capitalist
system. Historically, the act of expropriating the wealth
of the powerful has been a means by which the exploited
have reclaimed autonomy, throwing themselves into
freedom to move towards an individual and collective
existence outside the logic of wage exploitation.
The history of social movements, revolutionary
organisations, anarchist groups, and conscious exploited
individuals is filled with countless examples where assault,
expropriation, theft, and recovery allowed access to what the
political and corporate elite have denied us. Whether as a
claim to the right to leisure, a fight against accumulation, or
a means to sustain revolutionary projects and processes, it
has been an act accompanying the struggle against the
commodification of all forms of life: human, animal, and the
Earth. In this territory, the recent past bears witness to
actions distributing goods and wealth from the powerful in
communities, land occupations, universities, schools, and
rural areas.
‘Taking from the rich and giving to the exploited as an act of
subverting power relations. However, our anarchist history
links Pelao Angry with the recoveries and assaults carried
out by comrades in different times: Durruti with the
solidarios, Rosigna, Di Giovanni, Tamayo Gavilan, Jacob,
among many others. We do not fetishise or romanticise one

Eleven years after the death of comrade Sebastidn Oversluij

reproduced daily, making it all the more necessary to
implement anarchist revolutionary projects. In this, we also
connect with Pelao Angry, as the commodification of life,
the exploitation of some over others, the destruction of the
Earth, and non-human life forms intensify, deepen, and
reproduce without equal, narrowing the horizons of living an
existence outside the logic of power and capital. In short,
nothing has changed, and if it has, it has only been to
‘maintain this criminal and murderous social order.
‘The uprising of 2019 made it clear that the institutional path
to change and the capitalist model are not options for living
freely. The constituent processes that emerged from the pact
of the Chilean political class are merely a reconfiguration of
the ways the powerful maintain their privileges at the cost of
submission, death, misery, debt, and repression.
We do not seek to impose a singular truth, nor a single way
of remembering. As anarchist collectives and individuals, we
are aware of our connections with the ideas Angry upheld in
life. For us, bringing him into the present is to open
dialogue, tension, and the act of rethinking that the anarchist
proposal of self-organisation and struggle is not only
possible but necessary, that it remains alive, and that despite
the death and imprisonment of comrades, they are part of
our political proposal for an anarchism without adjectives,

Francisco Solar: Considerations on freedom
Freedom is undoubtedly a fundamental principle within the
various anarchist discourses and tendencies. It serves as a
central axis from which proposals, projects, and practices are
developed, based on the premise that the existence of
centralised power determines the different oppressions
affecting communities and individuals. It is the State or any
other form of power that ultimately creates and strengthens
this system of exploitation and all its consequences. The
tentacles, reach, and manifestations of this power extend in
multiple directions—becoming increasingly imperceptible—
encompassing virtually all aspects of people’s lives.
Understanding freedom as a continuous process of gradually
reclaiming our lives, where we strive to eliminate any
vestige of authority that seeks to coerce us, as well as those
present in our own behaviours, it does not constitute a final
destination to aspire to. Therefore, it is likely that freedom as
an established entity, as the culmination of a journey, does
not exist—it may be nothing more than a dream. Thus, T
believe our focus should not be there, but rather on the
process of struggle that the concept entails. As Don Quixote
said, “the journey is more important than the inn." The
construction of relationships aiming to be free and the
destruction of every expression of authority should be the
core of our concerns and actions, as it is through daily
practice and its deepening that we seize moments of
freedom.
‘This does not mean that deciding to walk this path makes us
free or that we have achieved the coveted freedom; it merely
represents a choice to struggle in the quest to rid ourselves of
authority. Hence, we are not free, and we do not know if we
ever will be, which, frankly, does not concern us.
At this point, it is pertinent to briefly refer to the distinction
made by the irreverent Albert Libertad in his 1907 article
“Freedom" between the terms “anarchist" and “libertarian."
‘The former "does not make freedom the cause, but rather the
goal of the evolution of their individuality. They do not say,
even in their smallest gestures, 'T am free,” but 'T want to be
free.” Meanwhile, the libertarian understands freedom as
“the beginning and end of all things... They declare
themselves free of movement while hereditary, atavistic, and
surrounding determinism makes them slaves..."
‘The anarchist would be clear that it is essential to fight for
freedom, constituting a daily confrontation against authority.
In contrast, the libertarian feels and believes they are free
and must defend that conquered freedom. They do not see,
or do not want to see, the many oppressions they are
subjected to, largely derived from Power.
Albert Libertad's characterisation of libertarians can be seen
today, for example, in spaces that self-define as "safe," with
the idea of constructing “bubbles of freedom” supposedly
free from any form of authority. These spaces, according to
their defenders, are separate from the many nocivities of the
“outside," focusing much of their efforts on avoiding—
supposedly and naively—the intrusion of “harmful
behaviours" into their internal dynamics.
Understanding freedom this way, aside from being an
illusion, poses a risk to any confrontational stance as it
conceives and proposes the existence of free experiences
within a framework of complete and absolute domination.
THE RISKS OF AN ILLUSION
Power, in its various forms, is present in virtually all our
behaviours, making us, consciously or unconsciously,
reproducers of it, which is undeniable. For those of us who
aspire (0 a life without chains, this evidently represents a
contradiction that we must be clear about and always keep in
mind. It involves, among other things, a permanent
questioning, which constitutes a fundamental part of our
struggle against authority on this endless path pursued both
individually and collectively. However, the illusion of
considering ourselves "free," detached from oppression, has
become a powerful argument to justify behaviours that
certainly weaken us and diminish, to a greater or lesser
extent, our seriousness.
A practice that has characterised anarchists throughout
history is the uncompromising commitment to their word,
recognised and valued by all revolutionary tendencies, even
by our enemies. This characteristic has imbued us with a
particular ethic related to doing what we say, striving by all
means to be consistent with our statements. Lacking and
opposing rigid statutes that establish behavioural norms, our
word gives us identity and strength, continuity and
credibility. Yet, this rich heritage is wiped away with the
surprising argument of “respect for individual freedom.
Commitments made would often be seen as obstacles to the
development of supposed individual freedom, based on the
notion that absolute priority is given to personal interest and
desire. What is striking is that these commitments are not the
result of obligation; on the contrary, they stem from personal
will and initiative. Thus, this way of understanding
individual freedom makes us question: What solidity can our
collective projects have? What seriousness can our pledged
word hold if it is subject to our changing emotional state?
“I have the freedom to do what I see fit, even to the point of
breaking commitments made." Such is the argument wielded
under this unfortunate conception of individual freedom,
which is nothing more than a childish justification of
irresponsibility. This not only renders any joint initiative
unfeasible, as it sows distrust, but also undermines the
coherence that is the result of the historical work of
comrades who preceded us, valued as part of our theoretical-
practical arsenal distinguishing us from other revolutionary
tendencies.
Similarly, as some spaces feel safe and detached from all
forms of authoritarianism and exploitation, the individual
who believes they are free thinks they have achieved a
conquest that must be protected. Hence, they view struggle
as unnecessary and senseless. Inaction, therefore, goes hand
in hand with this way of understanding freedom,
encouraging peaceful coexistence with oppression. Thus,
confrontation against power is denied and even criticised, as
it is perceived as lacking purpose and often seen as a threat
o the freedom achieved.
Another risk of this libertarian illusion pertains to the
adoption of behaviours fundamentally opposed to ours.
Under the excuse of "individual freedom,” choices have
occasionally been made that are historically contrary to
anarchist practices. I think of comrades who decided to vote
for social democracy out of fear of the advance of fascism or
those who, even when repressed, collaborated with the
police and betrayed comrades.
Such extremes have been reached using this argument in a
disastrous, self-serving, and opportunistic way of
understanding freedom. Astonishingly, “freedom’” is invoked
to maintain and reinforce the chains of domination.
FREEDOM AS A DRIVER FOR CONFRONTATION
Albert Libertad aptly points out that "human beings are not

free to act or refrain from acting by their own will. They
learn to act or refrain from acting when they have exercised
their judgment, illuminated their ignorance, or destroyed the
obstacles that hindered them."
Based on this, freedom is not something conquered but, as
mentioned, a path pursued both individually and collectively
in a process of permanent questioning aimed at eliminating
all forms of authority. This path entails confrontation and
stuggle, contrary to all passiviy and inaction.
Understanding that one is not free, living under various
oppressions, invites an anarchist to rebellion, to break each
chain. It also represents an effort to identify and attempt to
overcome our contradictions, recognising that we are shaped
by a framework of domination that must be destroyed.
Although it is clear that we are subject to multiple aspects of
authority, this does not prevent us from attempting to
establish relationships distant and contrary to all forms of
coercion. The struggle to eliminate authority from our
relationships and behaviours is here and now, as is the
confrontation against Power. From this, we opt for
informality to organise for and in confrontation, as the
flexibility and dynamism it entails prevent coercion from
prevailing.
“We fight to be free," is the basis of the argument placing
freedom as a driving force of struggle, pushing anarchists to
throw themselves into combat with all their might, a notion
more relevant today than ever.

Once upon a time, there was an exploited elf,
worn out by the labour in the gift factory,
outraged by this world of spectacles and cages.
He was a prisoner of the Christmas factory.
One December evening, the elf escaped,
he made his way o the city in the darkness of the night.
No more exploitation, down with the production,
one word on his lips: revolution.
But as he revelled in his newfound freedom,
his attention was suddenly caught on the street:
there, there, and there again, advertising billboards...
his anger and rage soon caught up with him.
"Grrr, g, said the elf,
"Out of my sight with these glaring horrors,
out of my life with these slanderous images!
P’ sick of your society,
and to fight i, it not just words that we need.
‘These billboards are made of glass? Enough talking:
’m putting all my heart into the work now!"
So, on Boulevard Leroy that night,
the elf broke 8 billboards in the cold.
And he sang
“When the glass rains, it feels much better,
when the glass breaks, Christmas dies."
The legend says that the elf’s adventure is not an isolated story.

of a good and happy year.
The poor man and the poor woman
wander the streets singing the lament
of long life.

We must laugh! We must rejoice. Let
every face wear a festive air. Let
every lip utter the best wishes. Let
every visage display the grimace of
joy.
It is the day of official lies, social
hypocrisy, and Pharisaic charity.

the day of vamish and convention.
Faces light up and houses glow! But
stomachs are empty and homes are
hollow. All is show, all is facade, all
is a sham, all is deceit! The hand that

slimy hypocrisy of social relations

every step. This day is a repetition of
all the other days of the year. The
current life is nothing but lies and
deceit. Men are in perpetual batle.
The poor wander from the
concierge’s smile to the bartender’s
grimace, and the rich from the
lackey’s obsequiousness to the
courtesan’s flattery. Clean-shaven
faces and masks of joy.
The caress of the prostitute is
equivalent to the smile of the married
woman. And the pimp’s defence is
akin to the husband’s protection.
Trickery and interests.
For s to one day sing life in truth,
we must, let us say it loudly, abandon
convention and make a harsh wish:
May the old world die with its
hypocrisy, its morals, its prejudices
that poison the air and stifle our
breath
May men suddenly decide to speak
their minds. Let us have a New
Year’s Day where no false wishes or
greetings are exchanged, but instead,
where we openly express our
thoughts to all.
On that day, men will realise it is
truly impossible to live in such an
amosphere of conflict and
antagonism. They will seek to live
differently. They will want to know
the ideas, the things, and the people
that prevent them from attaining
greater happiness. Property, the
Nation, the Gods, Honour will risk
being thrown into the sewer along
with those who thrive on these
stench-ridden relics.
And this wish, which seems so cruel
but is filled with sweetness, will
become universal: May the old world

Athens, Greece: Responsibility claim by the Cells of Offensive Solidarity for the placement
of an incendiary device at Kypseli’s EOKA (National Social Insurance Agency)
We take responsibility for the placement of a low-
powered incendiary device in the early hours of 03/12
at the E®KA office in Kypseli, located on Kefallinias
Street. Although the device, fortunately for you, did
not ignite, the message remains the same. Rest
assured that with the same operational ease, we can
target any location of our choosing at any time, with a
similar device.
The reason we selected this specific target, among the
many offered by the metropolis, is that it is a key
structure of the state mechanism, one that promotes
destitution, ~ subjugation, and consequently, the
manipulation of the majority of society. The Social
Insurance Agency (E®KA) operates under the
supervision of the Ministry of Labour, which in capitalist
terms means it acts as an executive organ of the
ideological orientation promoted by the current
government.
To clarify, EOKA is responsible for distributing pensions
of a mere €426.17, withholding contributions from
workers, freelancers, and farmers, and combating tax
evasion. Taxes for farmers exceed 50%, and for
freelancers, they surpass 75%. In summary, EGKA
serves as the state’s tax collector, playing a pivotal role in
financing its political agenda and legitimizing its
existence. But when words fail, numbers speak.
Revenues for the years 2024 and 2025 (approximately)
amounted to about €51 billion, while expenses for social
security funds were around €50 million. This means only
0.1% of the revenue is returned to society.
E®KA is the hand that gives a pittance to the beggar’s
outstretched hand—a currency whose value is dictated
by the state and government, within the predefined
trajectory imposed on the modem wage slave, who
defines themselves based on how productive and
disciplined they have been within the capitalist machine,
perpetually chasing class advancement and social status
validation. Moving beyond the confines of sterile class
analysis, which solely blames the state and capital while
ignoring the responsibility of those consciously trapped
in a condemned life—a life determined by others from
birth, bound by servitude, shackled, and surrounded by
the glitter of capitalist showcases.
In opposition to the world of social consent and
submission, complacency, inertia, and defeatism, against
any logic of delegation and waiting, we choose the path
of direct action, responding with attacks on the world of
power, navigating through the flames of its total
destruction. Every call for attack is a proposal for social
disengagement, a rupture with all forms of authority, a
call for the destruction of the existing order.
With armed hands and words, with a broken heart, and
the name of a street etched in memory, we carried out
this attack in memory of the armed revolutionary
Kyriakos Ximitiris and in solidarity with the anarchist
comrade Marianna M., who is held captive in the
dungeons of bourgeois democracy. Walking the path of
insubordination, dispute, and attack—a path stained with
the blood of those who, unrepentant, chose frontal assault
on the state and power—every step we take remains
unwavering in its purpose. For every comrade who bore
the heavy cost of revolutionary prospects and insurgent
action, we promise that with each passing day, as long as
our feet tread this earth, we will cut off the heads of our
oppressors and dismantle everything they have built with

Siemens vehicle in solidarity with the
Ampelokipi case
On the morning of December 31, 2024, we responded to the call for days of
action in memory of Kyriakos X and in solidarity with those persecuted in the
Ampelokipoi case and destroyed a Siemens vehicle in Berlin-Baumschulenweg
with a time-delayed incendiary device. Unfortunately, other vehicles also caught
fire in the course of this, which is regrettable.
Siemens has been trying to improve its image in recent years. Withdrawing from
some of its armaments sectors and investing in the renewable energy sector was
intended to give the company a clean, green and politically correct face.
While food prices around the world, especially in the Global South, have risen
by more than one hundred percent in recent years, wages, including those paid
by Siemens, have remained the same.In fiscal year 2024, Siemens achieved a
historic high in profit.
‘The Mobility and Smart Infrastructure sectors in particular contributed to this
growth. These sectors are investing massively in Israel's public infrastructure in
occupied Palestine.
While Israel continues to bomb in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria and
‘Yemen, Siemens is profiting directly from the genocide and oppression of the
Palestinian population.For example, Israel uses Siemens security systems in the
notorious Gilboa prison, and traffic control systems are installed in the West
Bank - on roads that only Israeli citizens are allowed to use.
‘The intercontinental Euro-Asia submarine cable project is intended to bring the
Israeli apartheid state even closer to Europe and its Western allies.
Siemens is therefore a piece in the geopolitical mosaic of Western domination.
While states assert their influence by force, companies like Siemens stand ready
to establish it and profit from the suffering of others.
Like many people in solidarity before us, all over the world, we want to show
solidarity with the persecuted in the Ampelokipoi case with this attack and
continue the commemoration of the fallen comrade Kyriakos Xymitiris.
We support and continue the struggles of the comrades and act in resistance
against the dominant conditions.Greek and German cops are working hand in
hand to imprison our comrades, to persecute them and to paint a picture of what
they call terror.It is the violence of those in power that is terrorist and not the
resistance against it.

Bremen, Germany: Responsibility claim for the
attack in OptoPrecision’s headquarters
FIRE AND FLAMES FOR THE PROFITEERS OF FEAR
On the night of 26.11.2024, we attacked OptoPrecision’s headquarters in Bremen-Horn with
incendiary devices. We set fire to two parts of the building. To help us were stones, Molotov
cocktails and several lters of flammable mixture.
OptoPrecision GmbH is a company based in Bremen. In the Security Systems division, the company
develops surveillance technologies for the police, security authorities and the armed forces. The
product catalog ranges from various laser and LED light sources to customized complete systems for
complex observation and surveillance tasks on land and at sea. The company caught our attention
thanks to its close cooperation with the Saxony police. Together with the Gorlitz Police Department,
OptoPrecision has developed a mobile camera system to ensure reliable, daylight-independent
images for the identification of people and vehicles. This year, the use of the PerlS personal
identification system has made the rounds in the press. The system, thanks to administrative support,
has been tested in Saxony and also used at least in Lower Saxony, Berlin, North Rhine-Westphalia,
Brandenburg and Baden-Wirttemberg.

‘The cops are always intent on snooping and meddling in our private lives. OptoPrecision provides
the technology for this. The company offers infrared laser illumination systems specifically intended
for undercover investigations by repressive authorities, designed to allow clear images to be obtained
from hundreds of meters in poor visibility conditions. Periodically we lear that the cops have been
watching comrades for months or years. OptoPrecision willingly accepts the orders of the repressive
authorities. The company is therefore jointly responsible for the psychological terror, the sleepless
nights, the isolation, the fear of house searches and also for the fact that the comrades are in prison.
We therefore consider our attack as a concrete contribution to the fight against repression. A fiery
greeting to our comrades in prison and fugitives!
Surveillance technology has always been an important tool of the repressive apparatus. The
digitalisation of society and the ever-new technical horizons will allow the state to expand its public
order powers more and more in the future. Even now, the radical left, the anti-racist and anti-
authoritarian movement are too often threatened by this development. A pessimistic view of the
future must presuppose that the right-wing governments and authorities of tomorrow are being
armed today. Ultimately, this will not only affect those who struggle but all peaple who deviate from
astate standard, who have a “wrong” background and/or who are in a precarious economic situation.
Itis therefore not surprising that OptoPrecision not only accepts commissions from cops, but is also
involved in the bloody business of European borders. The company’s website features technologies
for so-called “border protection”. The following excerpt from their webpage reveals the image the
company has of humanity: “The tasks of border protection include monitoring national borders and
areas close to borders on land, at sea and from the air. The challenge of defending borders is to
monitor people and objects over long distances in different weather and light conditions.”
OptoPrecision’s technology is used to control, hunt and ultimately kill people.

returned from a stay in Rojava. This investigation, resulting in
an 1,800-page dossier, culminated in a wave of arrests on
December 8, 2020, followed by the repercussions we have been
dealing with for the past four years, which we will briefly
outline here.
Following the arrests, 14 locations were raided. After 96 hours
in DGSI custody, under psychological pressure, drug-induced
interrogations, and the use of falsified or out-of-context
evidence, seven individuals were charged. They were then
brought before the investigating judge, and five of them were
placed in pre-trial detention.
The case also affected many others. In total, 12 people spent
four days in DGSI custody, with additional arrests occurring in
February and September 2021. A total of 29 summonses were
issued, often as a threat to obtain prison visit permits.
Furthermore, numerous personal and electronic items seized
during the raids have not yet been returned.
To date, the accused have collectively spent 47 months in
prison, endured solitary confinement, strip searches, endless
interrogations, denial of medical care, and difficulties accessing
packages, canteen, and comrespondence during the
investigation.
Releases have been gradual, with the PNAT appealing one
release and another individual managing to secure release after
a 36-day hunger strike, transitioning from solitary confinement
to six months under house arrest with an electronic bracelet.
In total, they have endured 277 months under judicial control,
which includes regular check-ins, geographical movement
restrictions, residency requirements, work obligations, and
meetings with a support "duo” (educator and psychologist) as
well as the Probation and Reintegration Service (SPIP).
‘The financial toll amounts to nearly €150,000, covering legal
fees, prison packages (clothing, magazines, books), canteen
funds, and travel expenses for supporters. This excludes the
incalculable physical and psychological scars, the contempt,
threats, pressures, and the lasting impact on relationships and
ongoing surveillance.
The wrial spanned 16 afternoons, approximately one month,
with the verdict delivered two months later and the judge’s
reasoning provided nine months after that. All were found
guilty of “terrorist criminal association," and three were
additionally convicted of "refusing to provide decryption
keys."
In the first instance, they were sentenced to prison terms
ranging from two to five years, with 15 to 30 months
suspended on probation, which entails strict medical and social
controls: SPIP meetings, addiction and psychological follow-
ups, residency and work obligations, with the threat of the
suspended sentence being enforced for any breaches.

For six of them, this includes registration in the FLIAIT (File of
Terrorist Offenders), which involves restrictions on foreign
travel, regular check-ins, proof of residence every three
months, and a ban on working in certain sectors (healthcare,
public service, education).
Communication remains prohibited, except for two of them.
Of the seven convicted, six have decided to appeal the verdict,
with the hearing scheduled for November 2025.
Beyond contesting the verdict for the six accused, it is crucial
to prevent this decision from setting a precedent that would
allow the state to further repress our struggles and ways of life
more harshly.
‘The anti-terrorist tool, with its so-called exceptional legislation
(which is becoming less and less exceptional), remains
extremely useful for the state. As with other cases, the
investigative methods employed here have provided a snapshot
of relationships within militant, ~anarchist, and anti-
authoritarian groups. Regardless of the actual or imagined
culpability, the justice system's goal is to maintain fear and
occupy people with legal defence work. This enables the state
to observe how groups operate and refine its tools for
maintaining order, all supported by limitless surveillance
capabilities.

Sharing how the justice system operates helps us better
navigate it when caught in its net. Reflecting on strategic
defence errors can help others avoid them. Discussing our
experiences with legal proceedings, wrials, relations with
lawyers, imprisonment, and judicial control better prepares us
for these eventualities—not as inevitabilities, but as potential
occurrences.
Supporting each other in these situations strengthens us and
prevents isolation in the face of the justice system’s relentless
pressure.

Movement: Three Security Proposals
‘This text is addressed to the international anarchist movement,
which we'll define as the sum of individuals fighting for
anarchist ideas around the world. This movement is in conflict
with its natural enemies — the State, fascist groups, and so on —
and must protect itself if it s to survive in this conflict. In this
text, we make three proposals for the international anarchist
movement to consider in the coming years in order to allow
anarchists to continue attacking while limiting their chances of
getting caught.
1. Share knowledge internationally
Our enemies organize internationally through cooperation
between police and intelligence agencies and new developments
in science and technology — the increasing precision of DNA
forensics and the proliferation of drones being just two examples.
‘This means that a repressive technique used in one country may
soon appear in another where it is not yet being used. It also
means that an effective countermeasure used by anarchists in one
country may be effective in another. We should therefore share
knowledge of repressive techniques and countermeasures on
an international level.
Ideally, any experience of repression or experimentation with
countermeasures that might be of interest to other anarchists
should be written up, translated into several languages, and made
public. When anarchists are arrested and brought to trial, we can
often obtain court documents that reveal how they were caught:
we should exploit this and publish analyses of such documents,
bearing in mind that information obtained in this way may be
partial or distorted. We should experiment with new
countermeasures and write and publish reports on these
experiments (except in cases where the State might adapt and
weaken the countermeasure by reading the report). We should
ury to collect information at the source: read police training
manuals, steal police files, analyze data leaks from police
servers.
A specific feature of the international anarchist movement is its
decentralization. We see this not as a weakness but as a streng(
in addition to preventing the hierarchies inherent in centralized
organizations, it makes it harder for our enemies to target us
because they cannot topple the whole movement by disrupting
one part of it. However, this decentralization also makes it
harder for us to share knowledge across borders. To overcome
this, we see two options: developing informal bonds with other
anarchists by meeting at interational book fairs and other
events, and using the Internet. We propose using the No Trace
Project as an international platform to share the knowledge that
is suited for sharing on the Internet, not as a replacement for
informal bonds but as a useful supplement to spread information
beyond existing informal networks.
2. Establish a security baseline
Anarchists who carry out direct actions should analyze the risks
associated with their actions and take appropriate precautions:

be mindful of video surveillance and
DNA traces, and so on. However, this is
not enough. If only those who carry out
actions take precautions, it is easier for
our enemies to target these individuals.
‘This is, firstly, because they stand out: if
only a handful of comrades always
leave their phones at home, for
example, this could be an obvious
starting point for an investigation with
no other specific leads. And secondly,
because our enemies can get
information about them through their
friends who do not carry out actions: if
someone doesn't use social media but is
mentioned on their friends’ social
media, for example, an investigation
could query their friends’ social media
to get information about them. We
should therefore establish a security
baseline that everyone in anarchist
networks agrees to follow, including
those who have never carried out
direct actions and have no intention
of doing so.
We can't say what this baseline should
be, as it will depend on each local
context, but we can give some ideas. As
a bare minimum, everyone should help
hide information from our enemies by
not speculating about who is involved in
an action, not bragging about one's own
participation in an action, not talking to
the police, and encrypting any computer
or phone used for conversations with
other anarchists using a strong
password. Discuss sensitive matters
exclusively outdoors and without
electronic devices, and don't make it
obvious to your social environment who
you are having sensitive conversations
with (e.g. dont ask someone to “go for a
walk® in front of people who aren't
involved in the project being discussed).
In addition, we think everyone should
stop using social media (and definitely
stop posting photos of other anarchists,
even with their consent, because this
helps the State map anarchist networks)
and leave their phones at home at all
times (not just during actions). Carrying
your phone with you has security
implications for everyone you interact
with.
It can be difficult to convince people to
follow such a security baseline,
especially if they think they have no
personal interest in following it If
someone is reluctant, we should remind
them that it's not just their security that's
at stake, but also the security of other
anarchists around them who may be
carrying out or planning to carry out
direct actions. Everyone who wants
actions to happen has an interest in
making anarchist networks as difficult
as possible for the authorities to repress.
3. Explore new horizons
Our enemies evolve over time as they
refine their strategies and techniques.
We should prepare not for the battles
that already took place, but for those yet
to come. We should therefore go
beyond our current security
practices, anticipate the evolution of
our enemies, and develop new
countermeasures.
Here are three issues we think the
international anarchist movement
should explore in the coming years.
Drones
Aerial surveillance is rapidly becoming
cheaper and more efficient. How should
we react to the presence of police
drones at riots, anarchist events, and so
on? How can we detect or take down
drones? Should we prepare for the risk
of drones being used for routine aerial
patrols, and if so, how?
Facial recognition technologies
In 2023, a joumnalist tracked down
German left-wing militant Daniela
Klette, who had been in clandestinity
for decades, by using facial recognition
technology to match a decades-old
photo of her with a recent photo from
Facebook taken during a dance class.
What can we do against this threat?
How can we prepare for the increasing
integration of facial recognition
technology into public video
surveillance systems?
Lack of insight
activity
into police
Until a few years ago, radio scanners
were used by anarchists to monitor
police frequencies, for example to learn
about nearby police activity while
carrying out a direct action. In most
contexts, this is now impossible because
police communications are_encrypted.
Can we develop new techniques to
functionally replace radio scanners or,
more generally, to gain insight into
police activity in a given area?
